The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, July 31 - Victor Angrily Confronts Dying Father - Danny Returns To Genoa City

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, July 31, tease that viewers will see an encore episode of Y&R that originally aired on November 21, 2003. In the episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have a tense visit with his father Albert Miller (George Kennedy) at the hospice where Albert is dying.

Albert will admit to Victor that he did have a son named Christian, but that he’d never been a family man. Albert will make no apologies for his past.

Victor will say that he should thank Albert, since he’s fought for everything he had as a result of Albert’s cruelty. Albert will taunt Victor for coming there to have a warm and fuzzy reconciliation.

Albert will wonder if Victor wants money, prompting Victor to rage at Albert, saying that he came there because he believes in the importance of family. Albert will think that family is overrated.

Victor will disagree, saying that his wealth means nothing without his family. After Nick and Victor leave the room, Victor will collapse in a chair sobbing. Nick will comfort his father and put his arm around Victor’s shoulders as they leave the hospice together.

Meanwhile, back in Genoa City, Raul Guittierez (David Lago) and Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) will fight about the reason she quit her job. Raul will say that if Brittany only quit because of him, then she might as well keep taking her clothes off for men, because he can take care of himself. Raul will feel pitied, and this will offend Brittany, who will leave upset.

At the Newman ranch, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will pay Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) a visit. Michael will want to get in touch with Victor immediately, but Nikki won’t cough up where Victor is.

Nikki will ask Michael to tell her what’s going on, but Michael won’t offer details about why he wants to talk with Victor, but he’ll wonder if Nikki has heard the rumors around town. Nikki will be tired of all this talk of doom and gloom.

At the GCAC, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) will meet with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), since Cassie has the afternoon off from school. It will be a nice mother/daughter day until talk turns to where Victor is.

Cassie will want to know why Victor wouldn’t want to see his own father, and Sharon will start to explain about how Victor felt abandoned as a child.

That will lead right into Cassie asking about her own father, Frank Barritt (Phil Dozois). Cassie will want details from her mother about what happened, and she’ll want to know why Sharon doesn’t talk about it ever.

Sharon will say that it was a painful time for her, and she won’t want to talk about it, prompting Cassie to get upset and leave for the ladies’ room.

While Cassie is gone from the table, Sharon will notice a man across the room whom she recognizes. When Cassie returns to the table, Sharon will tell Cassie hurriedly that they need to leave immediately – no questions asked.

Elsewhere, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will bicker. Christine will have some pointed questions for Phyllis, who will complain about Christine’s attempt to intimidate her in her capacity as the new Assistant District Attorney.

Soon, Michael will come in and break up the argument, asking Phyllis to leave. Christine will tell Michael that she’s working on a case, and that it involves him.

Finally, Gina Roma (Patty Weaver) will be thrilled when Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) shows up at the GCAC. Danny will tell his sister that he’s trying to set up a tour, and that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is doing well at his Swiss boarding school.

Gina and Danny will talk and happily catch up about recent goings-on in their lives. But Danny won’t be happy when he bumps into Phyllis later near the bar.
