The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, September 4, tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will have a confession to make. Devon will still be thinking about Thursday’s request from Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), which involved getting a DNA sample for Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
Since this will really be weighing on Devon, he’ll spill everything to Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) on Friday. Devon isn’t sure it’s his place to hand over Hilary’s DNA and doesn’t know how his dead wife would feel about it. At least that’s the story Devon gave Amanda!
Elena may suspect there’s more to it than that. After all, Hilary was a fierce go-getter. She was always after a hot story – and it doesn’t get much hotter than finding out you have a long-lost twin sister. It seems like Hilary would absolutely want to pursue this if she were alive.
Hilary would at least want confirmation one way or the other. She wasn’t the kind of gal who liked to keep things buried. Hilary’s work on GC Buzz proved that!
Elena might help Devon see that his fears aren’t about how Hilary would feel; they’re about how Devon feels. How will Devon react if it turns out Amanda is indeed Hilary’s twin? Devon may not be sure about that.
Fortunately, Elena is by Devon’s side and that’s where she’ll remain. She’ll give Devon her full support and try to help him through this tough situation. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will ultimately decide to provide Hilary’s DNA sample, so the test will move forward.
Across town, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will find himself in a position where he has to defend his reunion. Nick’s relationship with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be put on blast, so this might have something to do with Noah Newman’s (Robert Adamson) return to Genoa City.
Noah may object to “Phick” getting back together since this never ends well.
Other Y&R spoilers say Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will have to lie for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) recently approached Chance about the missing person story she’s doing regarding what went down in Vegas. Chance played dumb, but it’s obvious that Alyssa isn’t giving up.
Will Alyssa pop up again and once again push for answers? That might be a good reason for Chance to cover for his friend. Adam saved Chance’s life, so Chance feels like he owes him big time. Even if there’s some other Adam issue that doesn’t involve Alyssa, Chance’s goal will be protecting Adam – and himself!
