The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will keep digging into her past – and it should lead to some surprising revelations. According to Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) birth certificate, she was born in Evanston, Illinois.
Obviously, that’s where Amanda was born, too. Amanda was then taken two hours away and dropped off at a fire station in Madison, Wisconsin.
Of course, this raises some strange questions for Young and the Restless fans. Why did Rose Turner give one baby up for adoption – and why take that baby so far for the drop-off? Amanda really needs to look for answers at that Evanston hospital. Rose gave birth to two babies there – one of them being Hilary.
Since a twin was presumably picked at random to keep, who’s to say Hilary wasn’t the one who was taken and dropped off? Hilary’s birth certificate may actually be Amanda’s, which would make her Hilary in a way.
Amanda’s life would’ve far been if she’d been the twin Rose kept – if Amanda had been Hilary as perhaps she was supposed to be.
In other words, what if Hilary’s alive and it’s Amanda who’s dead? Naturally, the names aren’t really what’s important here, especially since Amanda wasn’t given her name until later. It’s the idea that Amanda might latch onto – that she could’ve just as easily been born Hilary before she was ultimately abandoned.
Plus, Amanda makes an intriguing comment on the September 23 episode. Amanda tells Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about how she used to hate that split-second of shock when people would see her. It was annoying for Amanda to hear how much she looked like Hilary, but now everything has changed.
Amanda’s embracing her twin status and loves finding out she has things in common with Hilary. She seems to enjoy the thought of being just like her sister. If Amanda were to find out that she was born Hilary, that’d really drive this point home.
It could leave Amanda wanting to take over Hilary’s life on some level – or at least wondering what might’ve been if she’d lived Hilary’s life as intended.
When Amanda watches a GC Buzz episode with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) on the September 23 show, she’s amazed by how much of herself she sees in Hilary.
It’d be interesting if one thing led to another and Amanda started hosting GC Buzz. We could even see Amanda become more Hilary-like in terms of her personality. Amanda could get bolder and maybe even more conniving.
The final step would be Amanda getting together with Devon, who was Hilary’s husband. Hilary was the preferable character in many fans’ eyes, so maybe Amanda will decide her sister had the preferable life as well – the life Amanda was meant to have if she was born Hilary!
Amanda might essentially become Hilary by going after what should’ve been hers to begin with.
