The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has made peace with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), but that doesn’t mean he’s worked through all his issues. Y&R fans know Devon was determined to believe Amanda was a bad person, but that was mostly because of her uncanny resemblance to Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
Of course, there was also the fact that Amanda was caught up in the Colin Aktinson’s (Tristan Rogers) will scam. In the end, Devon realized Amanda was a victim as well. Devon started to see Amanda in a new light due to her background and knows she’s been through a lot due to Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes).
However, Amanda looks EXACTLY like Hilary – and that’s never going to change. Devon can alter the way he views Hilary, but he can’t alter her appearance. Every time Devon looks at Amanda, he’s going to be reminded of the woman he lost.
Devon is certainly happy with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), but Hilary was arguably the love of his life.
Now that Devon’s thinking about Amanda differently and has come to respect her, will that affect his relationship with Elena? There’s still a goldmine of drama just waiting to play out.
That’s especially true since Amanda is most likely Hilary’s twin sister. Y&R’s been setting up some clues that lean toward that sister connection, which is the kind of thing that could pull Devon closer.
The Young and the Restless fans will recall that Devon was having visions of Hilary for a while. There was even that eerie dream where Devon kissed Hilary – only to realize she was actually Amanda. Will Y&R bring more dreams when new episodes resume?
That’d be a great way for Hilary to appear to Devon and try to guide him toward this twin revelation.
It’s easy to imagine Hilary popping up in a dream from the other side. Hilary might offer a cryptic comment or two about how Devon needs to find the truth.
Devon’s proven that he can become fixated on an idea – like when he was so focused on digging for dirt on Amanda. Perhaps Devon’s new obsession could be solving a mystery that Hilary herself presents to him in dream form.
Hilary may know things from beyond the grave, so she’s the perfect person to put Devon on the right path. Unfortunately, that could spell trouble if Devon neglects his relationship with Elena.
Devon became distant back when he was struggling with the will chaos and Amanda’s part in it, so that distance could creep in again.
