The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will prepare for separate new chapters. In the episode airing February 5, Lola and Kyle decide their marriage is over. It’s naturally a tough call to make, but they love and respect each other enough to be honest. Kyle and Lola determine that ending things is for the best.
Of course, things aren’t always as over as they seem on a soap! It’d be pretty boring for Kyle to just pick Summer Newman (Hunter King) and live happily ever after. The same goes for Lola finding bliss with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson).
Summer and Theo may think their dreams are about to come true, but perhaps a snag force a change of plans.
Could Lola be pregnant? After all, The Young and the Restless fans Lola had that pregnancy scare a while back. There’s always been a lot of kid talk between them – like when Kyle envisioned a mini Lola running around.
These two were relieved that the pregnancy was a false alarm, but they still looked forward to building a family someday.
It’s possible Y&R was laying the groundwork for what could happen next. If Lola learns she’s already got a bun in the oven, that could force Kyle and Lola to reevaluate their future together.
Obviously, having a baby together doesn’t mean they have to reunite. Plenty of people co-parent successfully, but it’s a common soap trope for a baby to bring Mom and Dad closer – or help them reconnect in this case.
It’s easy to imagine Kyle changing his mind or at least trying to. He might once again convince himself that raising a family with Lola is what he wants. Kyle might even fall back in love with Lola as they prepare for their bundle of joy.
The Young and the Restless spoilers don’t confirm this baby bomb yet, but it’s certainly something to mull over. It’d be a great way to bring some soapy drama!
