The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) were shown comforting each other in the fade-away shot of the last new Y&R episode that aired in April. But Victor’s love is also shared by another woman.
Classic episodes have highlighted the relationship that Victor and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) developed through the years. The epic climax that shook Nikki to her core had Ashley reveal that she’d stolen Victor’s genetic material and used it to have Abby Newman (as now played by Melissa Ordway).
The above storyline can’t legitimately be mined for more, since all has been known for a few decades in soap time. But another issue can bring Victor and Ashley together again, or at least that’s what Nikki would think was happening. Could Ashley get back with the Moustache when new Y&R episodes return?

Nikki first married Victor in 1984. Ashley first married Victor in 1990. Braeden’s character went back and forth between both ladies with additional marriages to both. Most recently he’s been married to Nikki since 2013.
Victor has often cited Nikki as his greatest love. That’s not a point of much dispute among Niktor fans, or of anyone who’s followed this show for years.
Ashley isn’t second best. She’s simply Victor’s second muse. Just as the late Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) was Ashley’s alternate soulmate and the initially perceived father of Abby Carlton (as she was originally known).
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dina Mergeron’s Crisis Sparks Jealousy?
One way to reignite conflict in this one-time triangle, would be for Victor to comfort Ashley during this trying time in Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) life. It seems as though Y&R will be writing Adams’ character out of the show in coming months. With that Ashley will likely need more than her family to lean on.
Vashley has maintained its bond, despite the fact that Victor and Ashley aren’t nearly as close as they once were. So, Nikki’s longtime insecurities could revive when she becomes aware of Victor’s seemingly renewed link to Ashley.
An observed embrace would touch a nerve, with Victor’s explanations to Nikki following. Based on Niktor’s history, Victor could easily become agitated by Nikki merely questioning him on the issue. A period of alienation, even if briefly, would follow.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki & Victor Brief Split Or More Is Possible
Nikki and Victor are currently enjoying a long period of marriage, even though they’ve been on the outs for some periods during this particular marriage. So divorce doesn’t necessarily have to be the end point of the proposed storyline.
Thomas Scott’s character took a suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club on various occasions when Nikki and Victor were on the outs. That setting is no longer seen.
So, it would be rather ironic if Nikki spends a few nights at the Grand Phoenix, which Abby still maintains partial control of while she’s building a competing hotel across the street.
