The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Thursday, October 29, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will have brief words with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) at Crimson Lights, telling Sharon that she left Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and that he’s all hers now. Sharon will be stunned.
Later, Chelsea will meet with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) on the patio, and they’ll discuss restarting the design company with a new name – an alias. Chloe will sense that something’s off with Chelsea, but Chelsea will insist that she’s fine.
However, once Chelsea stands up and starts walking, she’ll suddenly collapse to the floor.
At Adam’s penthouse, Adam will be typing away on his laptop, then he’ll send off a text. Over at the Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get the text, as will Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) over at Newman Enterprises. The text from Adam will ask if the three of them can meet asap.
Soon, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will stop by Adam’s penthouse to say that they have nothing else to worry about with the inquiry into Las Vegas. Chance will peer at Adam’s laptop briefly, but Adam will snap it shut and get rid of Chance quickly. Chance will wonder what Adam’s up to.
At the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will offer Summer Newman (Hunter King) a little advice.
Summer will tell Phyllis the whole story about calling off her engagement to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and Phyllis will suggest that Summer take some time with Kyle and not rush into a commitment. Summer will take that to heart.
At Newman Enterprises, Nick and Victoria will convene, followed shortly by Adam, who will announce that he’s granting them their freedom from him. Adam will say that he’s no longer a member of the Newman family, and that he’s cutting them all loose.
Adam will bolt, and Victoria and Nick will wonder what just happened, and Victoria will suggest that they keep their guards up.
At the Abbott mansion, the family will meet to go over Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) memorial arrangements.
Kyle will be unnerved when Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) shows up for the meeting, and while Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), and Kyle are bantering about plans, Theo will feel hurt and left out.
The topic of the “teardrop of love” necklace will come up, and Theo will hear the story, realizing finally that everyone but him has a piece of the necklace.
Eventually, Theo will suggest that he write a story for Chancellor Communications about Dina, but Kyle will scoff saying that it would exploit the family, and Jack will dismiss the idea. Theo will be upset.
Later, Jack will mention the reading of Dina’s will, and he’ll mention a change to the will. Theo will ask about what the change was, and Kyle will get mad, assuming that Theo wants to cash in.
Traci will intercede, and Jack will table the discussion until after the memorial service. Later, Ashley will learn from Abby that she and Chance are planning to start a family, while Kyle warns Jack that Theo will be a problem for them for the rest of his life.
At Society, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will meet with Adam, who will announce that he’s legally changing his name back to Adam Wilson, and that he’s severing all ties with Victor and the rest of the family.
Victor will tell Adam that once he crosses that line it will be difficult to come back from. Adam will say he’s done with all of the family, and he’ll walk out.
Over at the bar, Chance and Abby will talk about Chance’s earlier meeting with Adam, and Chance will say that he senses that Adam is up to something, and that in his gut he feels that the worst is yet to come.
At Crimson Lights, Traci will catch up with Theo, who will still be upset over being the son of the kid that Dina never wanted. Traci will think that grief caused Kyle to say things he didn’t mean, but Theo will say that Kyle meant every word that he said.
Theo will explain that he feels like an outsider, and that he’ll never belong in Traci’s family. Traci will be dismayed.
In Chancellor Park, Kyle will meet with Summer. Summer will start to launch into some speech, but Kyle will say that they need to settle this and that it isn’t working, because Summer doesn’t trust him and that she never will. “Maybe you had the right idea when you left,” Kyle will say. Summer will look heartbroken.
Finally, back at Newman Enterprises, Victor will arrive to see Nick and Victoria, and he’ll share that Adam is legally changing his name back to Adam Wilson. Victoria will say that it’s for the best, and that it’s time for Victor to finally let Adam go.
