The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Monday, October 19 – Theo Fumes Over Dina Death Snub – Lola Blasts ‘Crazy Stalker’ Summer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Monday, October 19, reveals that it’s a difficult day for some and a joyful day for others. At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place, she tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that her margins are clear.

Sharon excitedly declares that she’s on her way to being cancer-free. Faith gives a slight surprised smile, but she seems overwhelmed.

Mariah and Nick try to convince Faith there’s no need to hold back anymore. This is the news they’ve been hoping for! Faith works to convince them she’s happy, but it’s a tough sell.

Mariah gushes about planning Sharon’s wedding, doing the breast cancer walk and vacation preparations. She dashes off to call Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) while Faith is left standing there looking uneasy.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wipes away tears as Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) body is taken away. The Abbotts deal with the reality that Dina’s gone, which Jack admits gives him a sense of loss, pain and relief.

What Jack feels most is gratitude for all the love that surrounded Dina just before she died.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) takes a call from Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), who’s sitting at Crimson Lights. Lola wanted to let Kyle know he left something behind at Society, but Kyle snaps about this being “the absolute worst” time and hangs up. Summer Newman (Hunter King) lurks behind Lola while she’s on the phone.

Back with the Abbotts, Kyle’s struggling due to all the Dina and teardrop of love talk. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) objects when Kyle says he has to go, but Kyle feels like he needs some air.

Jack insists they all grieve in their own ways and urges Kyle to take as much time as he needs.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) guesses they should call Dina’s attorney – and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) notes that there’ll need to be an obituary for the newspaper.

Abby pipes up about the memorial service, but Jack thinks they should just focus on remembering Dina tonight. The rest can wait until tomorrow.

Summer is about to leave the coffeehouse when Kyle shows up and fills Lola in on Dina’s death. As Summer spies, Kyle notes that Dina had a connection to Lola.

He thinks maybe Dina saw some of herself in Lola – like Lola’s independent streak and entrepreneurial spirit. “She didn’t like many people,” Kyle admits to Lola. “But you…” Kyle apologizes for rambling and doesn’t even know what he’s saying.

On Monday’s Young and the Restless episode, Lola sweetly assures Kyle that he doesn’t have to be coherent. Kyle can talk or not talk – either way, Lola promises to be there.

Kyle opens up about how Dina used to flirt with him sometimes since she didn’t know who he was, so he laughs with Lola over it being weird.

Summer looks upset as she witnesses the exchange. She steps away and wrestles in her mind over what Kyle’s telling Lola. Summer frets over the possibility that Kyle’s saying they’re meant to be together and accidentally sends a vase crashing down on the floor.

Kyle quickly gets up to go see what the commotion was on the patio, but Summer takes off before he sees her.

Once Kyle reconvenes with Lola, she mentions that she called because he left his Jabot badge at Society. Lola’s sorry for calling while Kyle was dealing with so much, but he notes that it’s good since Lola pulled him out of it a bit.

After Kyle leaves, Summer corners Lola looking livid. “This is EXACTLY what you wanted, isn’t it?” Summer snaps. Lola rolls her eyes and sighs.

Summer starts to exit, but Lola stops her and rants about the accusation. She points out that Summer left Kyle devastated and now she’s skulking around afraid to face him. Summer knows what she saw just now and mentions the text Lola sent to Kyle when “Skyle” was supposed to be eloping.

Summer feels like Lola couldn’t stand it that Kyle was happy and had to try to lure him back. Lola insists she doesn’t want Kyle back, but Summer feels like Lola’s lying to herself.

Lola wonders if Summer really thinks this “crazy stalker thing” is going to win Kyle’s heart back. “Good luck with that,” Lola says as she storms out.

At Society, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) meets with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), who intends to tell the board the truth – and that’s the problem. This inquiry could mean Chance won’t be a cop again.

Back at the Abbott house, Abby reflects on how special her time living with Dina in Paris was. Dina saw beauty in the smallest things. Traci talks about Dina’s “restless spirit,” and Jack agrees it was futile to expect Dina to just settle down and be John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) wife.

Traci suggests that it’s a big, wide world out there and Dina wanted to see every inch of it.

Ashley’s been quiet, but she eventually talks about all the time she wasted fighting with Dina and all the tears she cried. Ashley remembers Dina asking her to put makeup on her and then offering a tip.

That’s when it hit Ashley that Dina had no idea who she was, so she started crying and so did Dina. Ashley thinks it was their destiny to always end up in tears, but they all laugh over that idea.

Back at the cottage, Sharon reminds everyone that she still has some treatments to take care of. Faith steps away and sends a text that says her fam is driving her crazy.

She needs to get out. Faith’s friend tells her they’ll meet up at “the spot” later. Sharon wonders if everything’s OK, so Faith lies that she was just texting a friend the news.

Later, Sharon questions Faith about why she seemed off over the announcement. Faith suggests that maybe it just took some time to sink in. Sharon wants to stay up late with popcorn and a movie since Rey’s on a stakeout.

Faith mentions that Sharon is still recovering, so she thinks they should get a good night’s sleep and do it tomorrow instead. Sharon gushes over raising such a practical girl.

The Abbotts spend more time reflecting, so Traci thinks back on how much Dina loved her book. It was different this time since Dina didn’t know Traci was her daughter.

Traci finally felt like Dina was proud of her, but Ashley and the others insist Dina was always proud. There are flashbacks of special Dina moments along with a toast to Dina and a life well-lived.

Kyle heads back to the Abbott mansion and reflects with Jack. Although Kyle wasn’t around when his mom died, Jack helped him through that rough time. Kyle can’t imagine what Jack’s going through now that both of his parents are gone.

They toast to finding enough love to get them through all the rough patches ahead.

Rey stands outside Society and speaks to Sharon over the phone. He feels better knowing Faith is looking out for Sharon when he can’t be there. In Chance’s suite, he comforts Abby over Dina and then lets Abby know she’s going to be an amazing mother.

Abby knows they talked about raising a family and if anything, losing Dina made her realize how precious life is.

Abby wants to move forward with their family plans, but Chance worries about her making a big decision on such an emotional night. However, Abby insists she already made her decision. She assures Chance that he’s the reason she wants this. They get on the same page and agree to start a family.

At The Grand Phoenix, Kyle isn’t in the mood for Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) needling and admits that Dina died tonight with everyone around her. “Not everyone,” Theo snaps. Kyle suggests they would’ve phoned, but… “But what?” Theo asks. He sarcastically points out Dina was only his grandmother.

It would’ve been nice to say goodbye, but Theo thinks it’s typical since he isn’t viewed as part of the family. “I’m so sorry for YOUR loss,” Theo says. Afterward, Kyle calls Lola to thank her for her compassion and understanding earlier – two things he probably doesn’t deserve.

Lola was happy to do it. She almost tells Kyle about seeing Summer, but she ditches the idea in the end.

Back with Traci and Ashley, they talk about Dina being lucid in her final moments. Traci was touched to know she was loved and wouldn’t be forgotten. Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) visits Jack and gets updates on how things went with the necklace.

Jack feels Lauren on Dina’s death and thanks Lauren for helping with the emerald – and for her constant friendship over the years.

At Crimson Lights, Nick’s worried about Faith putting on a show about pretending to be happy. There’s definitely something off. Mariah thinks Faith’s been through a lot and is still fearful about more trouble being around the corner.

Nick feels like it’s something to keep an eye on, but Mariah suggests it should be from afar. Faith needs space, so Mariah urges Nick to try backing off.

At the cottage again on Monday’s Y&R episode, Faith seems nervous as she puts her coat on and sneaks out. On the porch, Faith texts that she’s on her way and hurries off.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Faith’s storyline will bring some curveballs, so don’t miss what’s next on Y&R! CDL’s where you want to be for fantastic Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so check back regularly.
