The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Monday, October 26, teases that some shockers and shakeups are brewing. At Chancellor Communications, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are chipper and in sync as they make plans regarding their children.
After an alert comes in on Victoria’s phone, she reveals that it’s from her home security system. There seems to be an intrusion, so Victoria calls the kids’ nanny and tells her to get them out of the house.
At home on Monday’s Young and the Restless episode, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) looks a bit disheveled as he comes downstairs and takes a call. Adam says it’s about time this person got back to him and adds that they have a problem. Things didn’t go according to plan.
Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) spots Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) at the coffeehouse. They chat about Kevin’s new baby and Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) tricky partnership with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Chloe despises Adam, so Lily wonders how that works since Chelsea is so loyal.
In the park, Chelsea’s late to her meeting with Chloe, who has Miles Fisher in a stroller. Chloe think it’s time to lock in office space for their fashion line, but Chelsea says it’d be a waste of time.
Their last remaining sponsor pulled out due to Chelsea’s association with Adam following Chance Comm’s story. Chloe thinks maybe Chelsea could ask Adam for money, but Chelsea insists it’s out of the question.
At the Chancellor Mansion, Gloria Fisher Bardwell (Judith Chapman) seems a bit panicky when she catches Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) dusting near the jar where she hid the flash drive.
Gloria wants to take Esther up on her offer to see pics of Miles on the day he was born, but it’s really just an excuse to send Esther out of the room for her phone.
While Esther’s gone, Gloria retrieves her flash drive and conceals it when Esther reappears. Esther says she’ll just text the pics since she’s got a logical theater company meeting. She babbles on about auditions for A Streetcar Named Desire and wonders if Gloria knows the plot.
Esther says it’s about a long-lost family member who suddenly shows up acting like everything’s fine when her whole life’s falling apart.
Gloria asks if Esther is trying to make a point, so Esther brings up overhearing all the suspicions about Gloria’s return. Gloria defends herself and after Esther is gone, she hides the flash drive in a decorative box.
Back with Chelsea, she tells Chloe that her relationship with Adam is over. Chelsea recaps how Adam is consumed by that article – so full of rage and self-loathing. Adam has refused to let Chelsea help him.
Plus, Chelsea overheard Adam talking about his “special, magical connection” with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Chloe wonders when that happened since it seems so out of left field. Chelsea talks about Adam growing closer to Sharon through therapy sessions. She talks about eavesdropping on Adam’s conversation with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and not buying Adam’s claim about trying to get a rise out of him.
Chelsea frets about how Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will take the news, but Chloe thinks it’ll all work out. She’s certain Chelsea is better off. Chelsea’s head knows that, but it’ll take some time for her heart to catch up.
Victoria returns to Chance Comm with Billy after checking things out at home. It appears to have been a false alarm, but the kids are going to stay at the ranch at least for tonight – just to be on the safe side. Victoria’s going to have her security system beefed up.
Billy suspects Adam and mentions how Adam broke into his hotel room. Victoria learns Adam was searching for info for the second expose, so she asks if Billy has more dirt on Adam. Billy admits not exactly, but Adam’s reaction told him all he needs to know.
Victoria warns Billy to let the investigators do the investigating from now on. She advises against a second expose because it’s risky and could do more harm than good. Victoria’s not just thinking about the family fallout either. She frets over Billy’s mental state since he had some dark days in the past.
Victoria pushes Billy to let it be one and done when it comes to the Adam story. Lily walks in moments later and sees that maybe she’s interrupting. At Crimson Lights, Kevin lights up over Adam looking so terrible. He gloats until Adam exits, so Kevin accepts the triple espresso Adam had asked the barista for.
In the park again, Chelsea’s aspirin is kicking in. She admits she’s had a lot of headaches lately and blames them on stress and now jetlag. Chloe brings up Chelsea’s elevator fall and wonders if Chelsea talked to her doctor about that. Chelsea downplays it and promises she’s fine.
Adam appears, so Chloe launches into defensive mode. She wants Adam to keep on walking, but he asks to talk to Chelsea. “Why? Is Sharon unavailable?” Chelsea wonders.
After Chelsea makes it clear that she’s said all she needed to say, she adds that she doesn’t want to hear any more of Adam’s excuses. Once Chelsea stomps off, Chloe notes that she has plenty left to say to Adam.
Adam steps toward Miles’ stroller and asks about Chloe’s baby boy. “I don’t want your toxicity anywhere near my child,” Chloe insists. They rehash their history as Adam points out the good people of Genoa City have absolved Chloe of her sins, but there isn’t an ounce of absolution for him.
Chloe notes that’s because Adam hasn’t changed. Didn’t Adam tamper with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) meds just last year? Adam says he’ll get his calendar out to check when the last time Chloe shot him was. Chloe has tons of excuses for herself, but Adam feels like she’s acting like he’s just inherently evil.
Chloe insists Adam knows he doesn’t deserve good things in his life, including Chelsea. Now that Chelsea knows that as well, it’s Chloe’s new mission in life to make sure Chelsea never forgets.
Over with Gloria again, she’s ranting at someone on the phone at the Chancellor mansion. Gloria can’t believe this and wonders how this happened. “Didn’t I try to warn you that night?!” Gloria snaps. She insists the person on the other end won’t hang it on her this time. “Hello?! Damn you!” Gloria hisses as she realizes the other person disconnected.
Gloria looks up and spots Kevin, so she admits she didn’t know he was standing there. Kevin wants the truth about what kind of mess Gloria’s gotten herself into.
Gloria downplays everything and claims it was a minor financing problem with one of their projects. “Since when are you a business mogul?” Kevin asks. He thinks maybe he should run a background check on the producer.
Gloria insists Kevin can’t do that and gets fed up with all the questioning. Kevin is convinced she’s hiding something, so Gloria says that’s it! She claims she’s calling the airline and booking a flight back to LA.
Later, Kevin updates Chloe and worries about Gloria. He also frets over this potentially putting Chloe and the kids in danger. Kevin can’t get involved and wants Gloria to handle this on her own.
Gloria’s car arrives, but she tries to guilt-trip Kevin with a performance about not getting much time with the grandkids. Once Gloria gazes at the box she left her flash drive in, she leaves.
Chloe thinks that was kind of sad. Kevin feels it’s for the best since he doesn’t want whatever trouble Gloria’s in to affect their family.
At Chance Comm, Lily and Victoria agree Billy should move on from the Adam story. Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) texts Billy back about being far away from Genoa City and done with all things Adam.
Victoria and Lily think Billy has been outvoted. It’s time to focus on the other news in the world.
Lily mentions doing a story that focuses on charities like New Hope. Billy jokes about balancing each other out, so he’s going to find a “big old scandal” on one of these charities.
Lily laughs about Billy being terrible as Victoria looks weirded out by all the flirting. Victoria decides she should go, but she invites them to carry on.
Afterward, Lily and Billy keep debating the Adam sequel idea. When Billy says there’s only one way to shut him up, he catches Lily looking at his lips. Billy chuckles and insists that’s not what he was thinking – but he’d have no objections.
Lily plays dumb, so Billy asks if she’s going to pretend she wasn’t about to come over and kiss him.
When pressed, Lily admits she thought about it and reined in the impulse. Billy notes that he’s reined in the impulse many times already. Lily thinks their work takes precedence over any fleeting attraction, but Billy thinks it’s tempting though.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria mentions Chelsea wanting visits with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare). It had been a tough day for Chelsea, so she’s sorry for not thinking about how Victoria would react.
Chelsea promises it wouldn’t be a situation like with Adam going after Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).
Victoria hints around about Chelsea trying to break into her house this morning, which Chelsea finds ridiculous and denies. Victoria think maybe it was Adam then. She finds it interesting that Adam was so off Chelsea’s radar.
Chelsea eventually admits she doesn’t live with Adam anymore. She packed up her things and left, so Victoria congratulates Chelsea on the smartest move she’s made in a long time.
In Monday’s Y&R episode, Victoria suggests Chelsea can go be with Connor now since there’s nothing keeping her in Genoa City. Chelsea looks a bit offended by the comment and storms out.
In the park, Adam’s on the phone and rants at the person he hired to tail Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). He wonders how inept you have to be to get caught tailing a cop. Adam says hopefully the next guy won’t get caught, but then he snaps that he should just do his job.
Billy appears and snarls that Adam needs to leave Victoria and the kids out of this. Adam has no idea what Billy’s talking about.
He knows Billy thinks he’s a monster, but he’d never harm Chelsea’s son. “He is Victoria’s son! He is my son!” Billy roars.
Adam points out that Chelsea is Johnny’s biological mother, but Billy argues that Victoria is his son’s only mother. They discuss the break-in, which Adam knows nothing about.
He contends he’s not the only one capable of something like that considering Billy tried to mow him down in a car.
Adam suggests this whole feud boils down to the fact that Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) died. He feels like no matter how sorry he is, Billy can’t get over it and he never will.
Chelsea watches and listens nearby as Billy vows to teach Adam the meaning of the word “regret” if Adam dares to come near his kids.
