The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) may find himself feeling a lot like Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) feeling right now. Kyle got caught up in a spur-of-the-moment engagement and failed to notice Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) obvious doubts.
They were written all over Summer’s face, but Kyle was too high on cloud nine to notice.
Likewise, Rey doesn’t seem to be very in tune with Sharon’s true feelings. The look on Sharon’s face also isn’t lining up with what she’s saying, but Rey just isn’t getting it.
Although Sharon claims this is about her cancer and making every day a gift, it really seems to be about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Summer bailed on her wedding because she was afraid Kyle might be hung up on his ex, but Sharon may bail on her nuptials because she’s hung up on her own!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say things aren’t looking good for Sharon and Rey’s romantic future. Y&R seems to be laying the groundwork for another sad groom.
Will Rey ultimately get dumped at the altar? Summer and Kyle didn’t make it that far, but Sharon has a habit of struggling to decide on her wedding day.
When Sharon nearly married Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in 2018, she wrestled with her choice and dumped him at the altar for a different reason. It was Nick’s betrayal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that destroyed the wedding.
Whether Sharon crosses the line with Adam before this wedding or not, she may feel like she’s crossed it in her heart. Sharon admitted she’d never love Rey the way she loved Adam, so that says a lot about how doomed “Shey” is.
Y&R wouldn’t have Sharon saying things like that if they wanted her to build a life with Rey. The chances of Sharon actually marrying Rey are slim to none at this point, so it’s wise to prepare for a “Shey” split and Rey’s broken heart.
