The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that more danger could be just around the corner. Y&R fans know Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was recently arrested, but the case seems a bit too convenient.
Despite the evidence against Billy, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will remain concerned about things not being quite as they seem.
During a chat with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Rey will admit he can’t shake the feeling that Billy’s right – that someone set him up. Sharon will acknowledge that the real shooter’s still out there if that’s true.
Rey will be determined to get to the bottom of this, but that could put him in just as much danger as Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston).
Chance got in the way of a bullet meant for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but The Young and the Restless spoilers say another shooting could be coming up. No matter what the shooter’s true motives were, he or she wanted to pump a bullet in Adam and frame Billy for it.
What happens if Rey gets a lead and closes in on the person to blame for all this? Could that person take drastic action against Rey to protect his or her secrets? That obviously depends on who the shooter is and all the circumstances, but there’s definitely the potential for Rey to get shot next.
Last month, Sharon voiced concerns following Chance’s shooting and sudden hospital crisis. It left Sharon fretting about Rey’s work as a detective. Although Sharon knows it’s part of the job, she pointed out she’d always worry about Rey.
“No matter how small the chances are that something’s going to happen to you, it’s always there,” Sharon said on November 11. She went on to admit she was relieved when Rey walked through that door and would probably always be relieved.
Was that a hint that Rey won’t walk through the door eventually – perhaps on a crucial night like New Year’s Eve? That’s when Rey and Sharon are set to tie the knot, so Sharon may be disappointed when Rey doesn’t show up for the wedding.
Sharon might worry Rey got cold feet at first, but the truth behind her missing groom could be so much worse.
