The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) struggle appears to be in its final rounds. The most recent surgery she had is being followed by radiation treatments.
It remains unknown if all medicines, surgeries, and other ongoing efforts will help rid cancer from Sharon’s body. She’s fatigued, both physically and mentally from this fight. But it must rage on if Sharon is to live.

Case joined the cast of Y&R in 1994. She’s gone on to rank with the most respected and recognizable faces in daytime.
Sharon arguably became the next incarnation of Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in the decade of the 1990s. Case permanently established her chops during those years before later reaching even greater dramatic heights.
The incredible arc that introduced Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) to her mother, Sharon, and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will surely always be tagged as one of the great storylines in the show’s history. So too will the show-altering ending when Cassie died in 2005.
Case’s efforts during the period of the Shick divorce were superb, with Sharon’s current stability being hard-earned and her current presence admired.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon & Rey Rosales Offer New Opportunity
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) has become Sharon’s go to man. He doesn’t feel the need to rescue her, as Nick, Adam Newman (as played by Michael Muhney during the early 2010’s time period), and others did. Instead, Rey looks directly at Sharon, rather than seeing her as a fragile flower.
Sharon’s earlier periods of instability were the reason why Nick, in particular, became protective of her. But he was also the reason why Sharon’s heart and mind were broken, as the Phick coupling took hold.
Shey’s importance during the various stages of the cancer fight has been crucial. But it’s also fair to say that this couple’s future hasn’t been secured.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Assuming A Victory For Sharon Newman
It would be stunning if it’s revealed that Case is leaving the show and that Sharon’s cancer fight fails. So, fans of the actor and character are assuming a victory, or at least are strongly hoping for one.
It would be great to see a fully healthy Sharon marry Rey after that happens, as Shey is a believable couple that has legs for future growth. Most importantly for Sharon, would be her earned victory over this disease, which would further emphasize the strength she’s developed through all these years in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
