The Young and the Restless spoilers document that various longtime fans of daytime have been enjoying the many blasts from the past that have supplanted fresh episodes with throwbacks since late April. The throwback episodes that have been showing each weekday are reinforcing hardcore viewer’s beliefs that the old days were better.
There is no argument regarding soap operas being more prevalent on broadcast network television in years gone by. Four steamers survive today, including Y&R.
In reminiscing about all of the many beloved characters that have been seen again, is it realistic to project that some of them will be written back into the show? There are so many personas that could be mentioned. The following trio are part of a much larger number that can certainly be added to by readers.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Danny Romalotti’s Comeback Could Reopen Other Doors
Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti) hosted and Instagram Live session with Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams). They held a watchalong concurrent with Danny and Cricket’s wedding being rebroadcast. The show and the actor’s commentary was equally wonderful, as that memorable moment on the show was part of an important Y&R era.
Danny returned for a brief reprisal in 2013. His history with Christine, who has become a recurring character in recent years, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) can surely be mined further.
The return of Damian’s character, even if on a recurring basis, could also be tied into Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) return, along with others, including Danny’s sister, Gina Romalotti (Patty Weaver).
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Drucilla Winters Returns
Seeing Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) appear in so many classic moments stirs many positive emotions. It’s also bittersweet to see her stalwart castmate, Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters), on screen during treasured moments in what were truly cherished times.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) lost their father. But Drucilla can make a most miraculous return and help her children and grandchildren, just as they would help her.
It’s understood that there are important challenges that would need to be addressed before Y&R would offer Rowell a contract. But maybe her return for the special St. John tribute episodes last year represent a bridge?
Dru, as much as any viable off-screen character in this show’s history, should be seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin, again. Everyone involved should make this happen, somehow, and when it does Rowell should work with a full-time status contract.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sheila Carter Needs Another Go
Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was last seen in Los Angeles, California, in 2018. Brown’s edition of Sheila hasn’t been seen in GC since 2006. That distinction is made because Stafford (an apparent dual role Phyllis) played what was said to be the same character a short while after that.
Y&R fans who are aware of Sheila’s reappearance in LA have been awaiting an explanation. Addressing this open plot point would actually make for a compelling storyline, as fans could learn who actually had face change surgery in order to resemble Phyllis, but wasn’t actually Sheila.
As Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) was directly involved with her seeming nemesis’ end, she too would be destined to learn what happened and surely would battle Sheila again as well.
