The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, April 30 Recap – DNA Results Bomb – Billy Marries Chloe for Delia – Wedding Cake Fight

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 30, reveals that a terrific encore episode aired from 2009. This one was all about the Y&R drama surrounding reluctant groom Billy Abbott (Billy Miller) and his ill-advised nuptials to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) played a huge role in the not-so-festive festivities, so let’s look at what happened.

On Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) was cynical about Billy and Chloe’s upcoming marriage. Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) was chipper at the decorated Chancellor mansion, but Jill didn’t think this union would last. She gave it a month before Chloe appeared in a desperate search for MIA Billy.

Jill eventually suggested that Bill may not even make it. Over with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), she found herself without a breakfast companion at the GCAC. Despite making plans with Billy, he was a no-show. A phone call to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) let Ashley know Billy’s bed didn’t appear to have been slept in.

In a suite upstairs, Billy was with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) after sleeping with her and staying the night. They were both battling hangovers as Billy put some clothes on and suggested he didn’t want to be late for the worst day of his life.

As Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were having a Restless Style work meeting, Phyllis saw Billy come down the staircase. Once Nick left, Phyllis made a beeline up to Sharon’s room and forced her to open the door.

Phyllis relayed what she saw and took a jab about Sharon being trashy. Moments later, Phyllis began digging through Sharon’s stuff and accused her of stealing some missing ceramic monkeys. After Phyllis spotted a shot glass from Jimmy’s Bar, Sharon warned that she would call security. Phyllis threated to tell everyone Sharon slept with Billy if she did.

Since Sharon made the call, Phyllis noted that the decision was made – sealing Sharon’s fate. Down in the lobby, Nick was taken aback to see the guard leading Phyllis out. He flipped out when he got updates on Phyllis’ visit to Sharon’s suite.

Phyllis wasn’t pleased over Nick protecting Sharon, so she divulged that Sharon just slept with Billy. Nick was in disbelief about Sharon hooking up with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) brother. Phyllis insisted the news was true, so Nick argued that Sharon did it because she was suffering.

After Phyllis called Sharon a tramp, Nick ranted about Phyllis’ fixation on Sharon. Phyllis and Nick each thought the other was destroying their marriage. Back with Billy, he told Ashley a phony story about staying with a guy friend who was in from New York. Ashley mentioned the smell of a certain perfume and the blonde hair Billy had stuck to him.

Since the jig was up, Ashley grilled Billy about why he intended to marry Chloe. It was obvious he didn’t want to, so why go through with it? Billy contended that it’d ensure he’d get custody of Delia Abbott (Isabelle, Olivia and Riley Jones). He felt like it was the only way to accomplish that.

At Jimmy’s Bar, Mary Jane heard Phyllis asking about Sharon and decided to offer the scoop. After the bartender admitted Sharon had been there with someone last night, Mary Jane struck up a conversation with Phyllis. As they talked, Phyllis complained about how needy Sharon was.

After Billy finally showed up to tie the knot, he spoke with Chloe through the bedroom door. Chloe was upset about not being able to reach Billy, but he fibbed about his phone being off. Billy and Chloe determined that they’d go through with the wedding. They were in agreement about marriage being for the best.

Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) vowed to wait on Brock Reynolds’ (Beau Kazer) DNA test results at Murphy’s (Michael Fairman) trailer. Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) feared it would bring pain for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who’d lose her identity as a Chancellor.

Jack and Ashley made their way to the ceremony. The guests mingled and Jack was glad Jill didn’t cause a big scene. Brock thought Jill was doing remarkably well under the circumstances. Next, Brock and Katherine related on how much Billy and Mac loved each other. Mac and Billy got their marriage annulled after learning they were cousins, but Katherine suggested they may not be related after all.

Sharon was set to be Chloe’s matron of honor, but she arrived and told Jack she wasn’t feeling very well. Even so, Sharon opted to stand up for Chloe’s sake. Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok) complimented a dashing Billy in his tux, but she didn’t think he should go through with this wedding if it wasn’t what he wanted.

In a moment alone with Jill, Billy assured her everything would turn out OK. After the ceremony began, Sharon stunned Chloe by bailing. She said she wasn’t feeling well and left in a rush.

Jack took off after Sharon, but it was Nick who found Sharon crying and comforted her. After Billy and Chloe became husband and wife, Billy kissed Chloe and suddenly caught a glimpse of Mackenzie “Mac” Browning (Clementine Ford) nearby.

As for those DNA test results, they were opened and caused chaos! Katherine was confirmed as Brock’s mother, which left Jill hurt and fuming. Although Katherine wanted to continue being a mom to her, Jill was livid and felt she’d endured years of abuse because of Katherine.

Katherine grew angry as well since she’d made an effort only to face Jill’s hostile reaction. Their argument ultimately became a wedding cake fight as they smashed the dessert in each other’s faces. Y&R fans were definitely treated to some fun scenes and a good dose of history!
