The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 14, teases that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will urge Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to talk to her father. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) let Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) score a victory, so Victoria feels like she’s on her own. She plans to take on Adam herself, but Nikki will note that Victor swore he didn’t kill AJ Montalvo.
Victoria won’t understand why Victor would just let Adam win, but Nikki will suggest there must be more to the story. At Newman Enterprises, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will pop in for a visit The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will be glad to see Adam on the throne again.
They’ll discuss how Victor left Adam with no choice but to take drastic action. Even so, Adam will wish Victor had truly wanted him back in the CEO seat.
As for Chelsea, she’ll head to Society for a meeting with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). After talking about the maternity line and Chloe’s baby shower, Chelsea will have some surprising updates.
Chloe will be taken aback by the news that Adam’s in charge at Newman again. It’ll be a permanent power shift according to Chelsea!
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make the world wait a little longer. After more flirting and lovemaking, Y&R spoilers say Nick will have to go see Victor.
Back the ranch, Victor will keep stonewalling Nikki when it comes to Adam and why he caved in. Once Nikki gets fed up and stomps off, Victor will have a flashback of dead AJ atop hay on the barn floor.
On Crimson Lights’ patio, Nick will fume over the CEO press release before watching Adam’s live interview with Victoria. Victor will call Nick moments later, but Nick will let it go to voicemail.
He’ll want Victoria to bring him up to speed, so she’ll explain about the expose and the blackmail plot. Nick will rage over Adam’s actions, but he won’t want Victoria making any moves she might regret later.
Back at Society, Phyllis will assume it must’ve taken something diabolical to get Adam in the CEO chair. She’ll goad Chelsea about it before talk turns to Phyllis and Nick’s reunion. Phyllis will argue that “Chadam” is no match or “Phick,” so it sounds like powercouple battle’s brewing.
As for Nick, he’ll confront Adam at Newman and warn that he won’t get away with this. A smug Adam will inform Nick that he already did. At the Grand Phoenix, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will ask Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) for help.
Once Amanda provides guidance regarding a contract, Lily will wonder if Amanda would like to be the attorney for Chancellor Media.
Amanda will point out that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) offered her a job, too. Lily will insist she hasn’t spoken to Devon about her, but Amanda will hold off on accepting anything. She’ll think they need Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) input on the idea.
Next, Lily will catch up with Billy, who’ll still be fuming over Adam’s power play. Billy will also remain livid with Victor, but he’ll soon turn his attention to Lily’s proposal.
They’ll discuss possibly bringing Amanda in to handle legal matters. Although Billy will be a bit thrown at first, he’ll decide they’re on good terms as far as he knows. Billy will think it’d be nice to work together.
Once Lily relays the message over the phone, Amanda still won’t be ready to commit. Just after Amanda hangs up, she’ll spot Billy at the coffeehouse with Victoria and take off. As for Billy, he’ll learn Victoria might have a story for him to run at some point.
