The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 18, teases that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will stand her ground. At the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will try to brush off Phyllis’ threat. She’ll insist nobody’s going to jail, but Phyllis will think Chelsea should tell that to the woman whose husband has gone missing.
After Phyllis fills Chelsea in on her Vegas knowledge, she’ll insist she wants Chelsea’s 25 percent stake in the Grand Phoenix. Once Adam gets in touch with Chelsea, he’ll reveal that he’s currently in room 407.
While Chelsea heads up, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will get a special gift from Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz): a Grand Phoenix plaque. They’ll share a kiss before Abby finds Phyllis in the lounge.
When Abby puts up a fight on discussing interior design matters, Phyllis will flash a slight smile and contend that Abby’s the boss. Back with Chelsea, she’ll meet with Adam about Phyllis’ accusations.
Adam will confirm that Phyllis is right about what went down in Vegas. Since Chelsea hid the truth about Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), she won’t really be able to hold Adam’s deception against him.
Adam will assure Chelsea that he can deal with Phyllis, but Chelsea will insist on doing her part. She’ll summon Abby and announce that she’s selling her shares to Phyllis.
Once Abby wraps her head around that news, she’ll assume Phyllis scored some dirt and put a blackmail plot in motion. Abby will guess that this might have something to do with Adam, but Chelsea won’t divulge anything more.
Chelsea will, however, think Abby should bring Phyllis down if the opportunity comes along. Once Chelsea’s alone with Adam again, she’ll make it clear that she’s always going to choose him. Their love obviously comes first.
Back with Chance, he’ll be floored when he gets updates on Chelsea selling her shares to Phyllis. Chance will listen as Abby demands to know what dirt Phyllis has. After Abby stomps off, Chance will confront Phyllis alone. Phyllis will ultimately admit this is happening because of what Chance and Spider did.
Chance will think Phyllis got what she wanted, but Phyllis will insist she doesn’t do things halfway. She won’t settle for half the hotel when she wants “the whole damn thing.”
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will catch Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) off guard. After they discuss Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) plane recently landing, Victor will bring up Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) treatment. He’ll confess that he knows about Sharon’s breast cancer.
After Nick reminds Victor that Sharon wants to keep a lid on things, they’ll discuss how Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) holding up. Victor will promise he’s there for Nick if he ever needs anything.
Once Nikki arrives with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Victor will start fishing for hints about his surprise at the gala. He won’t get any other that assurance that Nikki’s gone all out.
At Sharon’s house, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will pass along Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) latest book. He’ll think it’ll help pass the time at chemo. Rey will even offer to read it aloud and do different voices for different characters.
Afterward, Sharon will gripe about how boring these chemo sessions are. She’ll be feeling fine and will still want to be part of the Newman Enterprises gala.
Speaking of that gala, the guests will start to trickle in at Top of the Tower. Nick will catch up with Chelsea while Adam heads over to kiss Victor’s ring. Back with Rey and Sharon, they’ll settle on “Phyllis” as the “I want to leave right now, get me out of here” word.
Next, Sharon will get caught battling nausea in the ladies’ room. When Nikki spots her and wonders if she might be pregnant, Sharon will laugh off the suggestion. She’ll take jabs about the shrimp appetizer and Nikki’s catering choices instead.
Sharon will eventually find Rey and Nick, who’ll be surprised to hear about the pregnancy misunderstanding. Suddenly, Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) will appear. He’ll greet his parents and admit he’s part of Nikki’s surprise, but he really wanted to come support Sharon.
Over with Abby and Chelsea, they’ll both be upset over Phyllis showing her face there. Abby will start another confrontation with her, but Phyllis will think they’re practically like family now that they’re full partners.
Y&R spoilers Victor will be taken aback to see Julia Newman (Meg Bennett), his first wife, at the gathering. Victor’s brother, Matt Miller (Robert Parucha), will also be on hand to celebrate.
After Victor welcomes all the guests to Newman’s 50th anniversary bash, Nikki will take the mic and point out that it’s also a celebration of the man behind it.
