The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, June 23, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on March 19, 1997. The episode will be part of the show’s “Emmy Winning Performances” week. Eric Braeden won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for this episode for his role as Victor Newman.

In the episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will spend time with Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) and Victor Jr. aka Adam Newman (Hayden Tank). Victor will present Victor Jr. with some boxing gloves and he’ll begin to teach the boy how to use them. Victor will instruct the boy to call him Victor. Hope will be happy as she watches father and son interact.

Victor Jr. will go practice some boxing moves in front of the mirror as Hope and Victor chat. Hope will gush about how happy she is about him spending time with his son. Victor will say that he promised Hope that Victor Jr. would have a father. Old familiar feelings will blossom, and Victor and Hope will kiss tenderly.

Meanwhile, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) and Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) will talk about Lily Winters, who will have recently asked Drucilla why her Mommy and Daddy are so sad and why they don’t hug anymore.

Malcolm will offer his comfort to Drucilla, while Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will chat with Olivia Winters (Tonya Lee Harrison) about Drucilla’s interview, saying that he is proud of her.

Elsewhere, Kurt Costner (Leigh McCloskey) will confront Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). He’ll fume that Ashley was playing God by keeping things from him, and Ashley will try to apologize to Kurt. Ashley will say how sorry she is, but Kurt will instruct her to leave.

And while this is transpiring, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) will grump to Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) about Ashley being involved with “this Kurt fellow.”

Finally, Grace Turner (Jennifer Gareis) will get a tip about someone named “Alice.” She and Tony Viscardi (Nick Scotti) will go to track down Alice at a home address, but they’ll find that no one by that name lives there anymore.

As Grace and Tony drive off, a school bus will drop off a little girl, who will be Cassie Johnson (Camryn Grimes), who will later become Cassie Newman.
