The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will do just what Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) expected him to do. Theo will steal their pitch – except he won’t realize it’s not Summer and Kyle’s work. This pitch is one that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) came up with 15 years ago, so you can see the disaster this is building to.
Theo will be as smug as ever once it’s his turn to present. He’ll think he’s going to beat Summer and Kyle to the punch by delivering their own pitch before them. Of course, Kyle and Summer will know Theo’s going to sabotage himself. It’s Theo’s own fault for stealing, so he’ll have to pay the price for his big mistake.
As Theo’s pitch begins, Jack will quickly recognize it. He’ll probably let Theo talk a bit longer just to be sure, but he’ll eventually call his nephew out on the similar content. Theo might try to play it off as a “great minds think alike” scenario. He’ll be in panic mode and looking for any way out of the mess he’s gotten himself into.
However, Jack will see Theo for who he really is: a manipulator who always puts his own agenda first. Although Jack knows Theo’s smart and could really make something of himself, Theo can’t do it if he keeps getting in his own way.
Sadly, Theo’s proven that he can’t get along with Kyle. Jack hoped they could learn to put aside their issues for the sake of the company, but that’s just not possible. If Theo tries to blame Kyle for the setup, that move could backfire as well.
No one forced Theo to be a thief! It was a test and Theo failed – plain and simple. If Theo couldn’t come up with a pitch of his own, perhaps he doesn’t have what it takes to make it at Jabot anyway.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will be disgusted by Theo’s betrayal. This is coming on the heels of the fight Theo and Kyle had in front of Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), so that’ll be in the back of Jack’s mind.
Y&R fans can expect Kyle to fire Theo in the aftermath of all this. Theo may protest that it’s up to Jack, but Kyle is co-CEO and has some power here. Jack will undoubtedly back Kyle up anyway, so it really doesn’t matter who the news is coming from.
The point is Theo will be OUT! It sounds like this is the beginning of the end for Theo, who’s set to exit Y&R according to an insider report.
