The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Tuesday, December 15 – Two Stunning Alyssa Clues - Chance's Blast From The Past

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, December 15, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) enters the interrogation room.

Billy admits it was a mistake to push Amanda away – and he could definitely use his real friends right now.

Amanda will always be Billy’s friend, but she runs down her list of terms if he expects her to be his attorney again. Billy can’t lie to Amanda and he can’t interfere with witnesses or any other aspects of the case.

Amanda also doesn’t want Billy to speak to the DA or the police without her present. She warns that if she gives Billy advice, he needs to listen and consider it. Billy insists it’s a deal.

At The Grand Phoenix on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) bangs on the door of Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria Domenico) suite. “Just let me talk to you! It’s a matter of life and death!” Alyssa finally opens up and tells Lily she’s got five minutes.

At the Chancellor mansion, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) loves the Christmas tree Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) brought home.

Nina offers to help decorate, but Abby doesn’t want to put Nina to work on her last night in town. After Nina whips out a big present, she says she has something that might change Abby’s mind.

Over with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), she seems glum as she helps Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) with the Christmas decorations at Crimson Lights. A text comes in on Faith’s phone, so she pulls it out and sees a mean meme involving Faith being switched at birth with a clown.

Faith lies to Sharon about the basketball team losing a big game at school and then steps on the patio. Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) arrives and can tell Faith is upset.

Back at The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is smacking her tablet repeatedly when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) walks in the lobby. Phyllis feels like she’ll probably be able to pay Nick back by January of never!

Nick insists Phyllis can pay him back whenever; she doesn’t even have to pay him back. Phyllis doesn’t like the idea of being rescued by Nick. “Another Newman has a piece of my hotel,” Phyllis says.

Nick argues that the money was a gift, but Phyllis feels like she has something to prove. She admits she’s been contemplating a way to repay Nick, but it’s not completely above board.

Nick doesn’t want Phyllis doing something risky or illegal, but Phyllis is beating herself up for not working harder. She feels like she can’t do anything without Nick’s help and wonders why she wasn’t as ruthless as Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

“Why in the hell would you want to be like Victoria?” Nick asks. “I don’t want to be like Victoria; let’s just make that clear,” Phyllis replies.

Phyllis just feels like Victoria has a certain ruthless quality that she’s lacking right now. Nick calls Phyllis the “queen of Phoenix” and tries to give her a pep talk. Phyllis gets increasingly emotional as she talks about how she’s fighting with one hand behind her back the whole time.

It’s hard for Phyllis, who’s tired of losing. Nick doesn’t understand how Phyllis can view getting her hotel back as a loss. Phyllis is adamant about standing on her own two feet again.

As for Lola at Crimson Lights, she asks Sharon if she can borrow Faith for recipe-testing. After Sharon agrees, Lola tells Faith that she’s coming with her.

In Alyssa’s suite, she feels like Lily’s exaggerating and doesn’t think Billy will get much time behind bars. Any time is too much as far as Lily’s concerned. She’s 100-percent certain of Billy’s innocence.

Alyssa says she saw what she saw and had to be honest with the cops. Lily asks if Alyssa’s part of the setup and pushes Alyssa to reveal what she’s even doing in Genoa City.

In the interrogation room, Billy doesn’t understand why Alyssa turned on him. He feels like Alyssa had to be in on the setup, but Amanda doesn’t think it makes sense that Alyssa was part of some plot to frame him.

Billy says they both suffered at the hands of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but Amanda argues that maybe something else was motivating Alyssa.

Amanda and Billy wonder why Alyssa came back to town. Billy points out that Adam is incredibly manipulative, so they consider the idea that Adam and Alyssa might’ve teamed up. Amanda just doesn’t see it, but she’s willing to listen to all possible angles.

Up in Lola’s apartment, Faith thanks Lola for the quick escape from Sharon. When Lola wonders what’s up, Faith tries to act like everything is fine. Lola insists she has one rule in her apartment – that they always have to tell the truth.

Faith comes clean about the meme and reveals that the bullying has been going on since the Adam story came out.

Lola feels like Faith should ignore the mean girls and focus on her real friends. Faith admits her one true friend is ghosting her, but Lola says maybe that person isn’t a true friend if she’s bailing now. When Lola brings up the rebellious days of her youth, Faith wants to hear all about them.

Lola steers the conversation back to the important of friends and how Faith will get through this rough patch. They talk about how Lola will be Faith’s aunt after Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) get married, but Faith doesn’t think “Auntie Lola” fits since Lola’s way too cool.

Back at the Chancellor mansion, Abby and Chance fill Nina in on the ups and downs of babysitting Miles Fisher recently. Nina wonders if Abby’s pregnant, but Abby says not yet. They’re just eager to start a family. “The sooner, the better,” Chance adds.

Nina encourages Abby to open the present she offered, which is an angel tree topper from Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). Chance flashes back to when Grandma Kay gave it to him as a little boy.

After Abby places the angel on the mantel, she gives Nina a gift next – a photo of the three of them at Chance and Abby’s wedding.

Nina is thrilled to see the newlyweds happy, healthy and in love. She has an early flight in the morning, so she has to dash off. Chance promises to take Nina to the airport in the morning. Nina feels like she’s leaving Abby in good hands, and they all look over to Katherine’s portrait on the wall.

In Alyssa’s room, she claims she reconsidered the idea Billy pitched to her about a follow-up exposé. “And somehow you ended up putting Billy behind bars? That’s how you repay him for your big break?” a skeptical Lily asks.

Lily insists Alyssa still hasn’t explained what she was doing at the scene of the crime, but Alyssa argues that Lily’s time is up and kicks her out.

Soon after, Rey arrives and warns Alyssa that they have a problem. As Lily lurks around the corner, Rey tells Alyssa that she’ll have to head down to the station. The DA needs to ask Alyssa about everything that Lily and Billy said to her.

Rey explains that they’ll send someone to pick up Alyssa’s belongings since the location’s been compromised.

Alyssa is thrown and stammers that she can pack up her stuff herself. She promises to be quick about it, but Rey says they have to go now. “We can be careful with your stuff if that’s what you’re worried about,” Rey assures her. “Fine, let’s go” Alyssa says nervously.

As Alyssa and Rey walk away, Lily stops the door from shutting and goes back in Alyssa’s suite. After Lily dons a pair of gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, she rummages through the room and finds a pair of black gloves in Alyssa’s drawer.

Lily also notices a framed photo by Alyssa’s bed and stands in the middle of the room looking pensive.

Nick stops by Crimson Lights and compliments Sharon on the holiday décor. Sharon fills Nick in on Faith being in a real mood today – and she notices something’s on Nick’s mind, too.

Nick doesn’t think Sharon wants to hear about his problems. Sharon pushes Nick to spill, so he admits this is about Phyllis. Nick explains how he put up the money to buy Phyllis’ hotel, but now she resents the fact that he helped her.

Sharon can actually see where Phyllis is coming from. Phyllis is independent and always has been, so Sharon feels like Nick was trying to be a knight in shining armor.

Nick is a rescuer and Phyllis doesn’t want to be rescued, so Sharon thinks Nick has to accept Phyllis for who she is – not who he thinks she should be.

Lily meets up with Amanda in The Grand Phoenix lobby to discuss Billy, who Amanda feels is secretly a mess. “Nobody wants to fight an enemy they can’t see,” Amanda says. Lily admits she grilled Alyssa again – then she ended up sneaking in Alyssa’s room.

Lily reveals that there was a photo of Alyssa’s dad in her suite, which she found weird. Although Lily was close to her dad as well, she didn’t carry around a 5×7 photo of him everywhere she went.

Lily looks up AJ Montalvo on her phone and finds a picture of him holding a trophy. The gloves that AJ’s wearing in the pic are just like the ones that were up in Alyssa’s room.

Lily keeps looking and is stunned to see that the trophy in the photo is for marksmanship. They’re shooting gloves, so Amanda is intrigued to learn Alyssa travels with them. That might be something Amanda can build a defense around, so Lily says they have to tell Billy.

At the Chancellor mansion again, Chance says Nina will stay for Christmas next year when they have kids. Abby’s surprised by the plural part – though she did have a nightmare involving triplets once.

Chance and Abby end up sharing some Christmas memories. They’re certain their kids will love spending the holidays in that house.

Chance has an early gift for Abby on Tuesday’s Young and the Restless episode., who opens it and finds a seashell from their honeymoon beach. It’s to remind Abby that their honeymoon will last forever.

Back in Phyllis’ suite, she tells Nick she’s been doing some thinking. “I’m right and I’m not backing down,” Phyllis declares.

Nick thinks that’s very “on brand” for Phyllis and suggests instituting a legitimate payment plan. He wants Phyllis to know the hotel will be completely hers. Phyllis is frustrated over the whole situation, but she’s glad they’re a team. Once Nick steps away to wash up for dinner, Phyllis still seems uneasy.
