The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will undoubtedly do what he always does – and that’s give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) another chance. Adam blackmailed Victor, which led to the truth about what happened in Kansas coming out. Now Adam knows he’s to blame for AJ Montalvo’s death, even if he won’t admit it yet.
Once Adam recovers those buried childhood memories, he may understand Victor a bit better. Adam may even put himself in Victor’s shoes and think about how hard he would’ve worked to protect Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). If Connor had killed someone to save Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Adam probably would’ve covered it up to protect his son, too.
Since Adam’s stubborn, it may take a while before he comes around on this. Even after Adam’s inevitable memory flood, he may struggle with his actions and push Victor away. However, it’s easy to imagine Adam eventually reaching out to Victor and apologizing. Adam may show some genuine emotion over his childhood trauma and tug at Victor’s heartstrings.
Victor might choose to proceed with caution when it comes to accepting his son back into his life and the Newman clan. Even so, it’s doubtful he’ll turn Adam away. Victor’s proven that he’s willing to give Adam chance after chance to prove himself, even of Adam doesn’t deserve them. There’s no reason for Victor to ditch that pattern now, especially when Adam needs him most.
Victor protected Adam from this AJ secret for decades, so that says a lot about how much Victor cares about Adam. The door’s always going to be open for a relationship between them. That relationship may always be complicated, but Young and the Restless fans know Victor would never shut Adam out permanently.
How will Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and the rest of the Newmans feel about Victor’s forgiveness? It’s safe to say Nikki, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will think this is a mistake. Even Summer Newman (Hunter King) may advise against it since Adam’s burned her grandpa so many times.
Nevertheless, Victor’s burned Adam over the years as well, so forgiveness is something they both need to understand and work toward. Will Adam and Victor achieve it on new Y&R episodes? We’ll provide updates as other news becomes available.
