The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Rowell NOT Returning To Y&R - Says Rumors Of Dru’s Return Are Fake News

The Young and the Restless spoilers has some news to pass on about a popular ex-Y&R star. Victoria Rowell, who portrayed Drucilla Winters on the CBS soap, recently responded to a fan tweet regarding a rumor that she was returning to the show.

As you might know, Victoria’s character Drucilla was featured frequently in the encore episodes that ran during the COVID-19 shutdown. And that seemed to have some fans hoping that Victoria might return to reprise the role.

As Y&R fans might remember, the character of Drucilla was killed off the show back in 2007 after a 17-year run. Of course, Drucilla was a well-loved character, and it’s natural for fans to hope that she might return.

One fan put out a tweet and tagged Victoria, asking: “Are you really back at Y&R? #SoapDirt says so. If you are, I’ll watch. Right now…No way.”

Victoria then retweeted the message and replied: “No. FAKE NEWS.” That prompted another fan to reply: “I really wish you were. Dru will always be my favorite female character on YR and you are irreplaceable.”

Another fan indicated in a tweet that Y&R needed the character of Drucilla back on canvas to save the show, which the fan described as currently being “a dumpster fire.”

Victoria responded to this fan, saying: “Thank you. Until C-Suite executive diversity is meaningfully incorporated in broadcast TV including day-part programming, nothing will improve. ’That which inspires arrogance is ignorance, caused by the heart’s blindness.’ – SAEED MALIK”

While Victoria may not be returning to the Young and the Restless, you can still see her in action, as she has several projects in the works. Victoria will be appearing in the upcoming movie called Birdie that also stars Terry Serpico and Gregory Alan Williams.

She’ll also be seen in the movie Black Kids White Mama, and she’s currently appearing as Dr. Williams in the series BET Her Presents: The Waiting Room.

You can also catch Victoria on her new podcast, called Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva. The podcast is described as an “entertaining diversion from the serious topics of the day” as Victoria dishes on the goings-on behind the scenes in the soap opera world. The logline reads: “Tune in for lights, camera, calamity, claws, and SECRETS,” which sounds pretty intriguing!

The good news here is that there are plenty of places that you can find Victoria – it just won’t be on the Young and the Restless! Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL frequently for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
