The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was over Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) the last time she was seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin. She needs a fresh start, with someone in town, or a new man who will appreciate her world.
There are some possibilities in GC, but it would be fully fresh if Y&R created a new character and paired him with Vickie. Rather than having Heinle’s alter ego revisit a relationship, meaning a character who could be written back, it would be more intriguing if a new plot path was presented.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Villy Has Been Overdone
Villy fans were rightly upset when Billy decided that he didn’t want Victoria anymore. His complete lack of what was best for their children, one of which, Johnny Abbott (Ryan and Holden Hare), Vickie adopted, was unconscionable.
It must be said that the arc Thompson was written into, where he played an alternate version of Billy gone mad, was fully chilling. The actor was justly rewarded with a 2020 Daytime Emmy in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.
Fictionally speaking, the above was fully cruel to Vickie, who was once again wronged and left to shoulder full-time responsibilities for Johnny and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). Thankfully, those children have her to count on.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Newman Enterprises Provides An Opening For Victoria’s New Man
Shortly after the Villy fallout, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) engaged in what he thought was an extortion scheme, where Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) temporarily pushed Vickie from the Chief Executive Officer’s spot at Newman Enterprises.
Vickie’s near immediate reinstatement could be the opening where this projected new significant other arrives. Fans would accept her hiring a top executive, who then becomes a post-Billy interest.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Vickie Deserves Happiness
It’s not too harsh to restate that Billy has brought repeated periods of pain to Vickie’s life. Victor’s Billy-boy nickname may have seemed like a low blow in the recent past, as Thompson’s character appeared to have righted himself. But he actually hadn’t, Vickie’s life was upended again, and Victor’s instincts were reconfirmed.
The start of a new arc, where Victoria is written into happiness with a new love interest, is needed. This actor demonstrated amazing chops by working with four actors who portrayed Billy in a very short period of time in the mid 2010’s.
So, there’s no doubt that Heinle can created chemistry with a new cast member who becomes Vickie’s next significant other when new episodes begin.
