The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 3-7 tease that we’ll see some heated confrontations and dropped bombs! Y&R’s set to deliver some of their most shocking moments in a week of fantastic classics. Here’s what Young and the Restless fans can expect in these gripping encores.
Monday’s Y&R episode first aired back in 1986 – and the drama centers around some risqué photos. Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) heads out for lunch with the mayor and gets recognized as a centerfold model. Several women gush over Paul, who showed off quite a lot in the latest issue of their favorite magazine.
Although Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) hopes everyone will move past this soon, it won’t happen before Mary Williams (Carolyn Conwell) has a chance to confront Paul about his nude shots! Next, let’s talk about Tuesday’s 1992 encore. Following Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) baby swap confession, Lauren knows the truth about her child.
Unfortunately, Lauren also fears she won’t leave the farmhouse she’s stuck in alive! Since Lauren assumes death is near, she begs Sheila to be a good mother to her baby. Later, a fierce faceoff results in a kerosene lamp being overturned. The farmhouse catches on fire in this blast-from-the-past episode.
On Wednesday, The Young and the Restless will revisit a classic from 2004. In this encore, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) suffer through the sewer tunnels to find Cameron Kirsten’s (Linden Ashby) body. Between the rats and the nasty stench, Nikki can’t help but throw up! Once a different corpse is found, Sharon ends up passing out in Nikki’s arms.
Thursday’s 2005 episode brings Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) meltdown when she discovers paternity test results. Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) is forced to admit that Lily might be his daughter, but the test proves Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) is indeed her father.
Even so, Lily’s outraged over the whole situation and accuses Malcolm of taking advantage of her mom. When Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) defends Malcolm, Lily launches a verbal attack on her, too. Lily orders Malcolm out and refuses to let Dru comfort her.
On Friday, Y&R will take us back to their 11,000th episode in 2016 – and it features Justin Hartley as Adam Newman. Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) derails Adam’s plan to start a new life with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). After Chloe shoots Adam with a tranquilizer dart, he’s woozy as he listens to this vengeful mom’s intentions.
Chloe announces that she’s going to watch Adam die – and the cabin blows up soon after. Chelsea’s outside with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) when the explosion hurls a horrified Chelsea back. That sounds like an exciting way to wrap up this week of classics, so stay tuned! We’ll offer updates as other Y&R news becomes available.
