The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finally found a way forward, but it meant delivering a tough blow to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). In order to heal her heart and find the strength to move on, Victoria felt she had to shut the door on being anything more than coparents with Billy.
Billy seemed hurt that Victoria didn’t even want to be friends anymore, but he shouldn’t be surprised after the way he treated her. Victoria wasn’t being outrageous to expect Billy to communicate.
It also wasn’t unreasonable for Victoria to battle concerns about Billy’s behavior. It seemed like Billy wanted to act like some rebellious teenager when he’s a grown man with kids and responsibilities.
Victoria had to do what was right for her, but is “Villy” really over for good? Time will tell, but Victoria and Billy seem to be one of those pairings that always gets back together.
There are plenty of other couples that tried to close the book for good and just couldn’t do it. If Billy and Victoria are destined to be together, they will be. Victoria and Billy can’t fight soap fate if it leads them back to each other.
Billy seems to have found a sense of purpose again. Since Billy thrives when he’s taking risks, it seems like he’s been able to apply that to something positive.
Billy’s running Chancellor Communications with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), so he’s got tons of daily challenges to tackle. It’s a gamble since Billy and Lily might fail, but that’s just the kind of thing that Billy lives for!
However, The Young and the Restless hasn’t nailed down a clear romantic direction for Billy. What’s next for Billy in the love department? Although Billy and Lily have been sparkling together a bit, Billy doesn’t seem quite over Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and the possibilities that were snuffed out.
Even so, Amanda has Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) as the new man in her life. There’s always Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) as another love interest option down the road. As for Lily, she’s got other options on canvas as well. There’s no guarantee Billy and Lily will turn into some lasting love story.
That’s especially true when Y&R can’t seem to find a love interest that really works for Victoria. Billy and Victoria may not be the perfect couple, but they have a deep history with many ups and downs.
They’ve also got children that are going to connect them forever. Victoria’s stabbing ordeal certainly brought some tears and worries for Billy, who’s always going to carry love for Vick in his heart.
Billy might wise up one day and see that he threw his family away over a mid-life crisis. Will Billy eventually go crawling back to Victoria? If he does, should Victoria agree to a “Villy” reunion or stay strong? As other Y&R news becomes available, don’t miss all our updates.
