After the face-off, Bailey & Kida are first to perform. Judges Comments: Derek: “That was sick, hot out of the gate. Every movement was so intentional and executed to perfection, it was clinic. The small nuances were so powerful, it was so satisfying to watch, well done.” Ne-Yo: “Each part of your body had its own brain which is ridiculous, the isolation was unreal like you were not human beings. I thoroughly enjoyed that entire piece, I was in all the way.” Jennifer: “That was a killer routine, I got goosies. It was such a step up from last time. I see the potential of what you can do teamwise and it can wow America.” Twitch: “The nuances, it was like you were architects of sound. The challenge for you both is that we need to see the edge of your envelope if you go forward. Great job.”

James & Harris: Judges Comments: Ne-Yo: “One of my favorite parts was at the very end. You are both really strong dancers, here is my problem, you are not dancing as strong as you could. I know there is more in there and it needs to cease if you are going to make it to the next round.” Jennifer: “I think you both compliment each other so beautifully, it is like a match made in heaven the way you two dance together. It is even in your body shape, there is just a great dance duo here.” Derek: “I disagree with Ne-Yo, you guys were flying, you were strong, it was so cool and fresh, flying through the air and the storytelling. In some moments, you both were a fraction out of synch with each other. You have an amazing foundation of great dancing.” Twitch: “I think what everyone is saying here is to create that next level with your artistry that you already have. Sometimes when you are trying to be perfect, you don’t take those risks.”

Time to find out who is the winner of this dual. Ne-Yo chooses Bailey & Kida. Jennifer chooses James & Harris. Derek chooses Bailey & Kida. The winners of the dual is Bailey & Kida.

Kegan Capps vs Maddy Penney are the second battle.

Maddy Penney is first to perform. Judges Comments: Jennifer: “During that performance, I think we all felt we needed a beret and a baguette, you took us to Paris there for a second. It was a good routine, you are a good dancer, an amazing dancer. I like that you dance on point but this performance fell a little short for me.” Twitch: Your technique is incredible but there is a difference looking at a beautiful picture and something that is really compelling. There was a moment that you were looking at the front, but not at us.” Derek: “You have an incredible technique and it is so pleasant to watch and I love that this routine was more playful.” Ne-Yo: “Initially when we saw you we thought you were all technique and not enough heart. We got to see more of your personality this time, but there was a slight wobble there.”

Kegan Capps is next. Judges Comments: Jennifer: “That was so emotional, it had the ooze and so much sauce. Your expression, you broke my heart at one point, you looked through us. Awesome, awesome.” Derek: “It was the intensity that you have, it doesn’t even make a move, it is the awareness of your body. If you make it through to next round have more dancing.” Ne-Yo: “It takes a level of maturity to milk a moment, there wasn’t a whole lot of movement in the piece and it wasn’t needed.”
Time for results from this dual. Derek chooses Kegan Capps. Jennifer chooses Kegan Capps. The winner of this dual is Kegan Capps. Ne-Yo says he would have chosen Kegan Capps as well.

Now it is up to Twitch to choose his choice for the two acts who have been eliminated for their redemption shot in the duo for a spot in the finals. Will it be The Young Cast, 305, Chibi Unity, James & Harris, or Maddy Penney. Twitch goes backstage to reveal which two acts will be performing in the redemption dual for one last spot in the semi-finals. Twitch chooses James & Harris and The Young Cast.

The Young Cast performs first. Judges Comments: Jennifer: “Here is what is nice about you guys, you have a bag of tricks that we don’t know about.” Derek: “You guys in my opinion have a slight advantage because there are more of you to create energy, it is going to be interesting.” Ne-Yo: “I agree, I don’t know what I feel yet, I have to see what James & Harris are going to do first.”

James & Harris perform. Judges Comments: Ne-Yo: “You are absolutely incredible dancers.” Jennifer: “You guys bring something totally different.” Derek: “There were some moments that ramped up, a little unbalanced at the end, but great job.”

Time to reveal who is the winner of this redemption dual. Jennifer chooses The Young Cast. Derek chooses The Young Cast, Ne-Yo agrees. The Young Cast is through to the semi-final.

THE END!
