In tonight’s Batwoman episode, Batwoman scares Sophie and Alice who have been arguing while watching a scary movie. She needs to interrupt to take Alice to a murder scene that could have one of Batman’s rogue weapons. They arrive and see it isn’t real but now they need to investigate the murder. Alice wants to lie to Renee but Ryan won’t do that.
Ryan and Luke are talking when Mary brings her an invite from Jada. They are surprised when Ryan says she is going for recon. Sophie is her date. Mary thinks this is a bad idea. Mary is also acting funny. She keeps drinking water. No one says anything though, mistaking her behaviors for agitation.
Ryan and Sophie arrive at Jada’s. She calls the chef to add one more meal. He is acting strangely in the kitchen and seems to have a vendetta. Sophie excuses herself to the bathroom and plants a bug. She also finds a photo. Meanwhile, Marquis arrives uninvited. Jada is surprised. Jada heads to find Sophie who is in the study. She pretends she got lost.
Alice is forced to look at files for possible suspects in the murder case. She notices Poison Ivy’s file is thicker and suggests maybe this is all about finding her and not the weapons. Meanwhile, Ryan tells Jada over dinner she had a great childhood with love and a real mom. Marquis’ girlfriend heads to the bathroom where she doesn’t feel well. Seconds later the chef comes in and murders her.
The chef comes into the dining room just as they all feel paralysis. He goes to Marquis after revealing his hate for Jada. She fired him years ago. He came back to kill her and the family. Ryan stabs him in the leg and helps them all get to a panic room. Inside, they try to decide how to save themselves when Marquis starts having a seizure.
Renee admits to Alice she used to be involved with Poison Ivy. Sh made Batman bury her alive. Meanwhile, Ryan needs to get to the basement to save Marquis by grabbing an adrenaline pen.
Ryan heads down the stairs while Jada talks through the intercom making the chef think she is in the other room. It doesn’t work for long until he is after Ryan who fights him. She makes it injured to the basement. Sophie confesses to Jada her men injured her sister. Jada denies it. Ryan finds the pen. It’s high on a shelf. She climbs but it collapses. The chef gets through the door. She is on the floor having trouble moving.
Alice heads to Mary for help. She is having delusions again and had one with Renee. Mary tells her it’s pretty much karma. Mary is itching. She shows Alice what she is working on. It’s poison ivy.
The chef brings Ryan to the panic room. Jada opens the door. She has to. Ryan shoots herself with the adrenal pen and fights the chef. Sophie helps after injecting Marquis. Jada stands by horrified and helpless. Marquis comes out of nowhere and stabs the chef. Jada screams.
Alice brings Renee poison ivy. She wants to go on vacation now. Renee is surprised. Poison Ivy doesn’t die unless she has infected someone else.
Ryan says good night to Sophie and heads to see Jada after the police leave. Had admitted she is hiding something. Marquis is sick. After meeting the Joker he has been different. But he hurts people. She gives Ryan tapes to watch. She didn’t know her research team was hurting others when they were supposed to help Marquis. She gave Ryan away to protect her.
