Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will fear divorce ahead of Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) September homecoming. As Marci Miller returns to the role, the fate of Chad and Abigail’s marriage will be decided.
DOOL fans know Abigail and Chad have faced plenty of struggles since he got drunk and cheated with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), which resulted in her pregnancy.
To further complicate matters, everyone still believes Abigail inadvertently caused the fall that led to Gwen’s miscarriage.
Of course, Days viewers are in the loop on the real story, which is that Gwen lost the baby before that fall even happened.
Even so, Abigail blamed herself and felt like Chad blamed her on some level, too. It was a lot to deal with, so Abigail took a break from the drama and has been trying to sort things out in Boston.
Unfortunately, that’s led to more than just physical distance between Chad and Abigail. It’s added to the emotional distance as well, but Chad’s holding out hope that maybe Abigail will come around.
Chad loves his wife and truly wants to get their future together back on track, but it’s hard when Abigail is shutting Chad out and seems so uninterested.
When Chad reached out to ask if Abigail was OK with him running DiMera Enterprises again, Abigail didn’t really care.
Chad also mentioned that Abigail wasn’t keen on him visiting with the kids, so she’s clearly putting walls up and having a hard time connecting with her husband.
It’ll become increasingly difficult for Chad to fight for his marriage when Abigail’s in Boston with Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), especially when Abby doesn’t seem to have any fight left.
During the week of August 30-September 3, Days spoilers say Chad will open up to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) about the problems in his marriage.
Chad will confess he’s worried Abigail will push for a divorce at the end of all this.
That’s certainly not what Chad wants – and it won’t be what Jack wants either. Jack got another chance with Jennifer after his own cheating scandal and will be rooting for Chad to win Abigail’s heart back.
Chad may also feel like it’d make Gwen feel better about the situation, so Jack will have more than one reason to support a “Chabby” reunion.
Nevertheless, Chad will battle concerns about his marriage being over for good.
This will serve as a great setup for Abigail to make her Salem comeback – and Days insiders insist Marci Miller will indeed reprise the role starting in September.
