Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) may cheat on her new husband Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). Will Chanel find that she can’t resist a betrayal with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold)?
When Chanel comes back from Italy with Johnny, she’ll have a wedding ring on her finger and some big news to share.
Days spoilers say Johnny will hope for a positive reaction when he reveals to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) that he married Chanel.
Unfortunately, EJ and Sami won’t be pleased since this was a rather impulsive decision. Johnny and Chanel got hitched way too fast, so trouble is obviously brewing.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will be against this speedy union as well, but Johnny and Chanel won’t care what their parents think.
Chanel will, however, care how Allie feels about this marriage. As you can imagine, Allie is going to blow a gasket once she gets updates during the week of December 27-31.
Allie was no doubt hoping things would just fizzle between Chanel and Johnny at some point. The fact that Chanel is now her sister-in-law will be a real problem for Allie, who still harbors more than friendly feelings for her bestie.
Chanel may pretend like Allie’s disapproval doesn’t bother her, but the tension will take a toll. Allie could handle Chanel and Johnny dating, but it’ll be a bigger deal once they’re a married couple.
It’ll be hard for Allie once she feels like the possibility of being with Chanel is off the table.
Of course, nothing is ever off the table on Days where cheating is the norm! We have to consider why DOOL writers moved forward with this marriage plot point.
Why would Johnny and Chanel come home as husband and wife? It’s certainly not so Chanel and Johnny can live happily ever after.
Allie grew closer to Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) after that Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) scare on Halloween. That led to Allie finally reciprocating Tripp’s love declaration – and things have been moving along fine for this couple since then.
Days clearly needed something to shake Allie up and revive her jealousy. They had to remind Allie of her true feelings for Chanel and create a situation where neither woman’s relationship is going to be so solid anymore.
Bottom line, tying the knot with Johnny may be exactly what it takes to pull Chanel and Allie into bed together. This could be the setup for some cheating that’ll leave Johnny livid and heartbroken down the road.
