Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) will face a new devil dilemma as his communication is cut off. Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will try to make sense of the wicked clues, but he’ll definitely struggle to put the puzzle together.
Doug told Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that “he” left him and went inside “her,” but he’s just rambling nonsense as far as she knows. Since Doug has been dealing with issues his doctors can’t explain, Julie probably thinks it’s just more of the same.
DOOL fans know Doug was trying to convey that the devil had left his body and entered Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) body instead.
Of course, Days doesn’t intend to let anyone figure that out too quickly! The goal is for possessed Marlena to let evil run rampant and destroy as much of Salem as possible.
There’ll inevitably be another exorcism down the road, but this storyline is just getting started. Marlena has to stir up all kinds of trouble in this possessed state first, which means Doug can’t spill the beans anytime soon.
Days spoilers say Julie will manage to make things worse for Doug somehow.
Perhaps there’s some kind of trigger word that’ll cause a setback or something along those lines. The devil might’ve planned for this and tried to make sure Doug wouldn’t rat him out.
If nothing else, Julie could mention Marlena and get Doug all agitated.
Julie could cause another terrifying episode that sets Doug back even further and leaves him unable to speak at all.
Whatever the case, Days spoilers say Eli will visit Doug and grow perplexed during the week of September 27-October 1.
Doug will try to share updates on Marlena’s possession, but he won’t be able to get his message across to Eli. It’ll just lead to confusion and frustration for both Eli and Doug.
Naturally, this will allow the evil inhabiting Marlena to keep at it!
No one should become privy to Marlena’s true problem for a while – though John Black (Drake Hogestyn) should be first in line to figure it out when the time comes.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say possessed Marlena will cause chaos, but John should pick up on the change in her demeanor soon and investigate.
