Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, July 9, tease that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) will have a showdown with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) seeks Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) help. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will also suspect Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), so let’s discuss what’s next on DOOL.
First, Ciara will feel the need to defend herself. When Shawn and Claire get updates on Ciara’s new engagement, it’ll certainly bring some strong reactions.
Claire will immediately be concerned for Ben when she finds out Ciara’s set to marry Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson).
Claire will urge Ciara to slow down and think things through, but Ciara will argue that she’s made her choice.
Of course, Shawn has come to think of Ben as a good guy and won’t want to see him lose either. Even so, Shawn’s primary concern may be for Ciara herself. This engagement is happening way too fast – not to mention Ciara is still married!
Shawn and Claire may not see what the hurry is, but Ciara will insist on getting a divorce as quickly as possible and rushing to the altar with Theo.
The truth is Ciara’s probably running from the small part of herself that knows she still loves Ben. Ciara can’t remember it on a conscious level, but it’s in there somewhere!
While Ciara stands her ground with Claire and Shawn, Ben will head to Marlena’s office for his latest therapy session.
Days spoilers say Ben will have plenty to talk about now that Ciara has been in his apartment. He’ll fill Marlena in on Ciara’s engagement news along with that memory flash she had.
Marlena may fear Ben’s getting his hopes up for a reunion that won’t happen. Ben can’t make Ciara love him or choose him, so Marlena may want him to keep that in mind.
Marlena might also prepare Ben for the possibility that Ciara will remember everything and still choose Theo. She’ll listen to what Ben has to say, but she’ll also offer advice that’s meant to protect his heart.
However, Ben knows without a doubt that he’s the only man for Ciara – and she’s the only woman for him, too. Ben will trust that it’ll all work out so that they can get their future back on track.
In the meantime, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will rush to Gwen’s defense when Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) pesters her with more questions about Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowry).
It’ll set up some sizzling moments between Xander and Gwen soon enough.
As for Jack on Friday’s Days episode, he’ll get some clues that lead him to a troubling conclusion. Jack will grow suspicious of Gwen’s link to Dr. Snyder and may worry she knows more about his death than she’s letting on.
Regardless, Jack will definitely feel like Gwen’s hiding something about her old connection to the doc.
Finally, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will distract EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) from the letter in the fireplace and explain away the matches she’s holding.
Sami will drag EJ to the bedroom for another round of wild passion and hope it’s enough to throw him off the trail.
