Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, October 1, tease that Ciara Brady DiMera (Victoria Konefal) will confess to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) needs Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) help. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will also react to Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) actress offer, so let’s talk about Friday’s exciting DOOL show.
First, Ciara will be back from her honeymoon, so Allie will want to hear all about the newlyweds’ New Orleans trip. Ciara will no doubt gush about it being fantastic – at least until Ben admitted something huge that could affect their family’s future.
Days fans know Ciara really wants kids, but she’s starting to worry Ben may never feel the same way. Ciara reassured Ben after he shared his fear of passing down sinister DNA, but they couldn’t resolve anything in just one conversation.
That’s why Ciara will need a sounding board and will find one in Allie. Of course, Allie can also discuss her own adventures in motherhood and help Ciara know what she’d be getting herself into. Ciara and Allie have a sweet bond, so it’ll be great to see them coming together like this.
Likewise, Ben’s friendship with Tripp has been developing nicely. That’s terrific news since Ben could really use some help sorting through his feelings. Ben will confide his bad gene fears and perhaps ask for Tripp’s opinion as a med student.
Tripp should acknowledge that mental illness can be hereditary, but that doesn’t mean Ciara will give birth to Ben’s bad seed. Perhaps Tripp will echo Ciara’s comments about how the environment a child grows up in being more important. Whatever the case, Tripp will lend a sympathetic ear and offer Ben some solid advice.
Chad may also have some advice once he gets updates on Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) latest offer. Johnny wants to cast Abigail as Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) in his new film, but the real shocker will come when Chad learns she’s actually considering it.
The idea of Abigail being an actress will be tough for Chad to process, but Abigail’s already has experience playing other characters through her dissociative identity disorder. That wasn’t by choice, but Abigail will still feel like she could bring a unique perspective to the possession flick.
Abigail wasn’t in charge of her own mind and body when she had DID, so she could get inside Marlena’s head pretty well for the role. Chad will have a chance to weigh in on the offer as Abigail mulls over this big decision.
In the meantime, Johnny will do his best to woo Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) as promised. That’ll involve pulling his guitar out and belting a tune just for the girl he wants. Chanel will be impressed over Johnny’s musical talent and will fall even harder for him as a result.
At the hospital, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will be confused in Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) room. Doug just insisted that Marlena needed help and told John that she tried to kill him. John won’t think that’s true on Friday’s Days episode, but Doug will argue that Marlena indeed wants him dead.
This could be the start of the wheels turning for John when it comes to Marlena’s possession, but he won’t have all the clues he needs just yet. As for Marlena, she’ll be tormented by the devil and will sink further under his control.
Marlena will leave the tape recorder behind in her office, so John will be able to listen later. Will John hear the real session or an altered version the devil wants him to hear? Regardless, John’s headed for trouble as he makes some disturbing discoveries!
