Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) may hijack Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) Titan takeover and steal the CEO spot from Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) himself. Will a betrayal rip this couple apart? There’s bound to be another major obstacle brewing, so let’s mull over how things might go down.
DOOL fans will recall how hard Gabi fought to support Jake and keep him in power at DiMera Enterprises. Unfortunately, they were no match for Jake’s scheming brothers.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel), Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) all managed to pull off an ouster, which left Jake angry enough to move right out of the DiMera mansion!
However, Gabi offered a pep talk in the aftermath. She assured Jake that Philip’s grip on Titan was “tenuous at best” and acted like she’d have no problem taking over the throne.
Gabi wants Jake working right by her side, but will he be satisfied playing second fiddle?
Now that Jake’s had a taste of what it’s like at the top, he may not be keen on treating Gabi like the boss lady. Jake could let his desire for power get in the way of his romance if he’s not careful.
That’s especially true when you combine that with how much Jake wants to get revenge on his brothers and take down DiMera Enterprises.
Days viewers know Gabi is a fantastic businesswoman, but she also has a history of erratic behavior.
Assuming that Philip does fail and winds up needing a successor, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) may not think Gabi’s the right fit for the job.
Jake actually did pretty well steering the ship at DiMera despite the ouster, so it’s possible he could pitch himself instead.
How would Gabi react if Jake commandeered her takeover plot and stole the CEO seat right out from under her?
It’s safe to say Gabi would be absolutely furious and might even decide it was a split-worthy offense. Gabi could go as far as dumping Jake over a betrayal that huge, but Jake would no doubt try to make her see things his way.
Whatever the case, Days has introduced Gabi’s Titan takeover idea along with her plan to bring Jake on board. Being Gabi’s right-hand man might not be good enough for Jake, so he could fight to become top dog himself!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jake and Gabi’s relationship will come with some new hurdles down the road, so stick with DOOL.
