Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) may fake her blindness for revenge on Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) – and Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) will be in on the sneaky plot.
Days fans know Kate was still pretty out of it from the drugs when she found Jake in bed with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). However, Kate was alert enough to see exactly what they were doing. It just confirmed the fears Kate had always had about Jake being hung up on Gabi.
The second “Kate” aka disguised Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) dumped him, Jake hopped in bed with Gabi – at least that’s how Kate saw it. She even snarled about how Jake and Gabi deserved each other, so it was a moment of anger rather than sadness.
Kate’s romance with Jake wasn’t some epic love story, so there’s no reason for her to fight for a man who doesn’t want her. What Kate will likely have her heart set on is vengeance.
Kate can be vindictive and quite manipulative when she wants to be. It looks like Kate’s worst qualities will come in handy as she fakes a complication in her recovery.
DOOL’s weekly preview video shows Kate seemingly waking up blind in her hospital bed. Of course, it’s possible Kate will indeed have some temporary blindness, but it won’t last long if she does!
In other words, Kate will either be faking from the get-go or will regain her sight soon after and pretend she’s still sightless.
During the week of May 31-June 4, Days spoilers say Kate will make a major confession to Dr. Snyder. She’ll pressure the shady doc to keep her secret, so he may be frustrated over yet another abuse of patient-doctor confidentiality.
Dr. Snyder may argue that if Kate wants him to keep his mouth shut, she’ll have to do something for him in return.
Whatever the case, Kate seems poised to work out some arrangement with the doc after confessing she isn’t really blind. Kate may want to secretly watch Jake without him knowing.
Kate may also like the idea of Jake feeling obligated to stay by her side and maybe even falling for her again. That way it’ll be even more satisfying when Kate ultimately reveals the truth!
We wouldn’t be surprised if Kate plotted to steal the DiMera CEO seat from Jake, too! This seems more like a scheme to hurt Jake than one to win him back, so Kate should have some destructive moves to make. As other Days news becomes available, we’ll deliver updates.
