Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a search for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will begin as Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) takes on a new mission to find the DiMera in Hiding. Kristen escaped from police custody and has been on the run ever since, but Steve will hope to change that during the week of October 18-22.
Of course, we have to consider why Steve will be behind this search effort and why it’s just now happening.
It’d be weird for Steve to decide to hunt Kristen down out of the blue, so it seems like someone will recruit him.
Another Days character might turn to Black Patch for a private investigator and get Steve to take the case.
The cops have obviously carried out their own search efforts, but they haven’t had any luck finding Kristen yet.
As for the person who wants to find Kristen, that could be Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) since he’s back in the action and hates Kristen more than ever.
Victor is even pushing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) toward Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) because he considers her the lesser of two evils.
Victor might want Kristen caught and locked up to make certain Brady puts Kristen behind him for good.
We can’t forget that Kristen stabbed Victor and nearly killed him, so revenge could be a big factor here, too.
Victor may not like the idea of Kristen being out there living her life. He might think it’s time for Kristen to face justice and rope Steve into making sure that happens.
Days had to wait until they were ready to bring back Kristen and continue the next chapter, so that’s really all the explanation we need for the search delay.
Plus, this gives Steve a storyline – one he desperately needs if those recent flu shot scenes were any indication!
Having Steve search for Kristen beats listening to him argue about whether he’ll get the jab. This Kristen hunt will affect several characters on canvas in some surprising ways, so stay tuned to DOOL.
