Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) may rescue kidnapped Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and finally earn a romantic reunion with his former flame. Lucas worked hard to convince Sami they belonged together during her last DOOL stint, but Sami was determined to focus on her marriage to EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel).
Even after Sami’s cheating scandal blew up, she remained devoted to fixing things with EJ and refused to give up on their relationship without a fight.
Of course, that left Lucas frustrated and heartbroken. Lucas can’t help how he feels about Sami – and it’s obvious that Sami feels something for him as well.
There’s still a chance for Sami and Lucas to get back together, but Sami needs to be rescued first!
Days fans will recall that Sami was chloroformed and snatched, so who’s going to figure that out and ultimately save the day?
It makes sense for Sami’s next love interest to take the lead on this, so this could be a good time for Lucas to step up as someone who knows Sami awfully well.
It was weird for Sami to suddenly bail anyway, so red flags have already been raised through her clearly bogus texts.
The longer Sami’s away, the more concerned Lucas will get – particularly since she wouldn’t just stay out of touch from her children and her grandchild this long.
Lucas has a deep connection to Sami and may begin to feel like she needs him somehow.
Days has offered hints that EJ might’ve been behind Sami’s kidnapping, but there’s no confirmation on that just yet.
In some ways, that solution seems too easy when you consider the complicated mysteries that usually play out on the NBC soap.
Still, there’s no denying that’d be a quick way to turn Sami against EJ and leave her clinging to Lucas – particularly if he becomes her knight in shining armor.
Regardless, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) worried about Sami early on and may get worried all over again when Sami remains MIA for too long.
