Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) may demand the necktie killer’s return – putting Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) at risk of deadly mind control. There have been some troubling clues about the next chapter for Ben and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefall), but the devil is in the details!
DOOL fans will recall how Ben was brainwashed by Vincent Belman (Michael Teh), who was following Eve Donovan’s (Kassie DePaiva) orders. Vincent also had his own agenda since Wendy Taylor (Denice Duff) was his fiancée before Ben murdered her.
Ben was mentally ill during the necktie killer’s reign of terror, but that made no difference to Eve and Vincent – just like it’ll make no difference to possessed Marlena.
The devil may see the potential to bring out Ben’s sinister side, even if he has to somehow bring Vincent’s old programming to the surface.
Ben trusts Marlena more than just about anyone in Salem, so Days spoilers suggest that’ll make him vulnerable to possessed Marlena’s suggestions and bad advice.
Through the devil inside Marlena, Ben may be encouraged to explore his worst impulses.
Ben might go to Marlena seeking guidance and reassurance about the baby Ciara wants to have. It’s easy to imagine possessed Marlena suggesting hypnosis to help Ben overcome his fears.
In reality, it could be the devil’s way of driving Ben to carry out another string of murders.
Days spoilers say possessed Marlena will be eager to turn Salem into a nightmare of a town with violence and destruction happening all over the place.
It makes sense that “MarDevil” might recruit some help and see Ben as a lethal ally she can manipulate.
Naturally, Ben was able to fight off Vincent’s mind control in the end – and that could be the case this time around as well. Even so, there could be some scary moments until Ben can overcome this new hurdle.
Just like John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was able to save Marlena from the devil in the past through the power of their love, Ciara may have to come through for Ben as well.
Of course, there could also be a situation where Ciara has to put her soon-to-be unborn child first and get the heck out of dodge for a while.
Regardless, Days will definitely rev up the creepy drama in the coming months. We’ll pass along more updates and news as they come in.
