Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, April 12, reveals that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) woke up next to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and was horrified by what they did the night before.
Sami forced Lucas to look away while she dressed and ranted about how she was married. She hated the fact that she cheated on her husband, so Lucas apologized for taking advantage of Sami when she was vulnerable.
Sami rejected Lucas’ apology since there was nothing to apologize for. She didn’t blame Lucas for what happened between them, but she warned no one else could ever know – especially not EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). “If EJ ever found out, there would be hell to pay!” Sami declared.
Sami assured Lucas that she was feeling better this morning and truly wanted to make her marriage work. Lucas promised he wouldn’t say anything, but he pointed out that EJ’s mom, “Susan Banks” aka Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), was the one who left him last night.
Sami freaked and pushed Lucas to get dressed while she figured a way to sneak him out.
At Basic Black, Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) could tell Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) was upset, so she got Chloe to admit her feelings for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Chloe said “Susan” already found a way to pry the truth out of her, which caught Nicole off guard.
Nicole didn’t think that sounded like Susan and suggested it was a crafty move.
Chloe talked about Brady working from home and seeming sad after his visit with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Nicole felt like maybe things weren’t working out between Brady and incarcerated Kristen.
Nicole encouraged Chloe to confess her feelings and make Brady happier than he could ever be with Kristen.
Nicole felt like Chloe, Brady, Parker Jonas (Christian Ganiere) and Rachel Black (Josephine and Rosalind May) would make a wonderful family. Chloe was too worried about risking her heart and dashed off to prepare for a work meeting.
That left Nicole to play matchmaker, so she pulled out her phone to call Brady.
At the townhouse on Monday’s Days episode, “Susan” was glad Brady was taking her advice to keep his distance from Chloe. Brady ended up admitting Kristen was the one he felt the real distance from.
Brady noted that Kristen wasn’t herself during their last visit, but “Susan” argued that prison can change people.
Brady was confused as “Susan” kept trying to defend Kristen. He wondered if “Susan” was relying on her psychic powers to tell her what Kristen was thinking. “Susan” decided it was time for Brady to know the truth, but Nicole’s call about a work emergency interrupted.
Although “Susan” wanted to tell Brady something important, he insisted this would have to wait. Once Brady headed out the door, Kristen flashed back to Chloe talking about her feelings for Brady and smashed something in a fit of rage.
At Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) place, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) showed up concerned about Chanel Dupree (Precious Way).
Since Chanel didn’t come back to Paulina’s suite last night, Paulina was worried about her daughter sleeping on the streets or lying in a ditch somewhere.
Eli didn’t think that was likely and suggested Chanel was probably with a guy. Lani filled Paulina in on Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) being Chanel’s ex from the time they spent together in South Africa.
After Lani called Theo and confirmed Chanel didn’t stay with him last night, Eli decided to check the security footage from the town square.
Later, Eli confirmed that Chanel was on the footage going into another Salem Inn room with a mystery man. After Eli said he’d talk to the hotel manager, Paulina insisted on going along with Eli to get some answers.
In Xander’s hotel room on Monday’s DOOL episode, he woke up next to Chanel with a horrible hangover and couldn’t remember what happened the night before.
Xander asked if they hooked up, so Chanel laughed and suggested he could say that. As Xander got up to take a shower, he realized he was wearing his kilt.
After Xander returned wearing a towel, Chanel pointed out that Xander said it’d be a shame for his wedding outfit to go to waste. She showed off her new bling, so Xander wondered why Chanel was wearing Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) engagement ring.
“Why else? You gave it to me!” Chanel exclaimed. She assured Xander that she didn’t con him out of it, so Xander decided Chanel could just keep the ring and sell it if she wanted.
Chanel refused since Xander proposed to her with it last night. She insisted Xander begged her to marry him.
Xander argued he was drunk, but Chanel noted that he was still able to say his vows. “We’re married, honey! We tied the knot last night!” Chanel said.
Chanel pointed out that Xander wanted it to be like a “revenge wedding” on Sarah.
Chanel showed off a marriage certificate and insisted Xander was throwing money around to make sure the wedding happened, which really impressed her. Xander wanted to undo whatever they did last night, but Chanel asked why they’d do that when they’re so hot together.
Suddenly, Eli and Paulina showed up at the door. “What the hell?” Xander exclaimed on Monday’s Days of Our Lives episode.
Back with Nicole, she insisted on taking the work meeting while Chloe told Brady she loved him. Chloe wanted Nicole to tell Brady not to come. She didn’t want to face Brady’s rejection, but Nicole thought maybe Brady would reveal he has feelings for Chloe, too.
Once Nicole was gone, Chloe opened the door and encountered Brady.
At the townhouse again, Sami got Lucas out of there and turned around to see “Susan,” who wanted to know what that was all about. Sami stood there looking guilty once she realized she was busted.
