Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, April 5 Recap – Ciara Cries Over Hope – Ben’s Good News – Nicole Covers for Tripp

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, April 5, reveals that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) admitted he went to Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) apartment the night he was killed.

Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) asked what Tripp did, but Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) showed up before Tripp could spill more. Allie was glad to hear that Sami had finally been cleared and released from custody.

Sami was surprised to see Tripp there, but Allie offered an introduction and assured her mom that Tripp had been very forgiving about the false accusations.

Tripp promised there was nothing to forgive before Sami confessed she wasn’t sorry about what happened to Charlie.

Although Tripp had complicated feelings since his brother was dealt a bad hand, he quickly added that Charlie was gone and they could all move on with their lives.

Allie praised Tripp for being so great with Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) before talk turned to how Sami was cleared.

Sami explained that the time of death proved her innocence and insisted someone killed Charlie before she got there. Since Sami and Allie didn’t kill Charlie, Sami wondered if Tripp and Allie had any ideas on the real culprit.

After Henry started crying, Sami offered to go get him – and that gave Allie a chance to confront Tripp about what he said before.

Allie confessed that Tripp was scaring her and begged him to tell her that he didn’t kill Charlie. Even so, Allie promised that Tripp could tell her no matter what happened.

When Sami returned, Tripp excused himself and made a hasty exit. Allie looked a bit unsettled as she watched him head out the door.

At Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) place, she explained that she saw Tripp in the parking lot that night and called out to him. Tripp apparently didn’t hear Ava and rushed off – then Ava found Charlie dead on the floor with a bullet to his chest.

Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) felt Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) had to be told, but Ava begged Nicole to keep the secret. She pointed out that Tripp was the only child she had left, but Nicole was adamant that Ava had to clear Sami’s name.

Rafe came in and wondered about what Nicole had to tell him, but he shared some news first. After Rafe explained that the time of death cleared Sami, he wanted to make both Ava and Nicole some of his famous tacos. Nicole went against Ava’s wishes by staying before Ava hustled them out back to talk in private.

Ava didn’t see any need in Nicole spilling about Tripp since Sami was in the clear – especially since neither of them knew what actually happened. Nicole ultimately lied to Rafe that she just had to tell him about Henry ripping Duke the teddy bear’s eye out.

After Nicole left, she ran into Tripp in the town square and pointed out it was just a matter of time until the real killer was caught. Tripp agreed it was just a matter of time before hurrying off.

Back with Ava on Monday’s Days episode, she admitted to Rafe that she felt a sense of relief now that Charlie was gone. Ava would be fine if the case was dropped, so Rafe understood since he loved Allie so much. Nevertheless, Rafe was a cop and had no choice but to bring the killer to justice – no exceptions.

At the hospital, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) did his best to calm Belle Brady (Martha Madison) down. Belle was all worked up about Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) potentially skating on the horrible things she’d done, but Shawn felt like they could work out a strategy.

Meanwhile, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was taken aback over John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) admission about the gunshot he heard that night. John didn’t see how he could’ve heard that gunshot from his car in the parking lot. He worried that he might’ve gone to Charlie’s apartment and blown the guy away himself.

Later on Monday’s Days episode, Belle stopped by and talked to John alone. After John learned Jan would press charges against him if she was arrested, he knew what had to be done. Belle insisted she’d find a way to neutralize Jan, but John argued that Shawn should arrest him so that Jan could be locked up, too.

However, Belle argued that John didn’t deserve to go to prison for the attack on Jan. John remembered the gunshot and said if he had committed a crime, he had no problem paying for it. Days of Our Lives spoilers say John’s family has more curveballs in their future, so stay tuned!

At Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment on Monday’s DOOL episode, he looked at the washer that he’d used to propose to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal). Ben pulled out the copy of Alice in Wonderland from his backpack while Ciara found the copy of Through the Looking Glass that Ben had left behind.

There was a moment of connection between them as Ben and Ciara both flashed back to a dream they shared – the one where Ben found Ciara in the glass cage. Ciara was rattled over this flashback before Shawn arrived. Since Ciara wanted updates on Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Shawn confessed he still couldn’t find her. He’d called many times, but Hope hadn’t been back in touch.

Ciara cried about how much she missed her mom and pointed out Shawn said he’d left town to go track Hope down. Shawn admitted there was a situation he had to come back for, but he brushed it off as boring and got Ciara talking about the book that Ben left behind.

Ciara said it was Ben’s “lame attempt” at jogging her memory. She thought Ben sounded crazy with all his talk about their psychic connection and fortune cookies. Ciara didn’t remember being involved with Ben and wasn’t sure she wanted to remember.

Over with Ben, he explained to Marlena that he was hit with a flashback from a dream – and he felt certain that Ciara felt it, too. Ben was hoping that Ciara had reached out to accept Marlena’s hypnosis offer, but she hadn’t yet. Marlena pushed Ben to be patient and assured him that their connection wouldn’t go away. “When love is real, it never fades,” Marlena promised.

Afterward, Shawn called to reveal that Ciara was on board with the hypnosis, so Ben was overjoyed by the news. Ciara eventually fell asleep holding her copy of Through the Looking Glass in her arms.
