Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) meddling mom will inevitably bring some family secrets. Will Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) ruin Paulina’s second chance with Abe Carver (James Reynolds)?
Paulina blew her first one when she pretended she was starting a diversity initiative and a wonderful marketplace to help Salem thrive.
In reality, Paulina just wanted to put money in her own pockets through Price Town.
It was hard for stubborn Paulina to back down, especially when she’d already put so much money into the project.
Nevertheless, Paulina later decided the people she cared about were more important and called off the demolition. She’s taking the financial hit and going with the initiative Abe approved.
DOOL fans know Abe seemed to appreciate the about-face and was leaning in the direction of forgiveness when we last saw him.
Despite Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) continued distrust of Paulina, Abe seems willing to get past Paulina’s mistake and let her have a fresh start.
Once Days resumes new episodes starting August 9, Abe may reach out to Paulina and offer gratitude for changing her mind.
Abe might let Paulina apologize once again and once again see that she really means it.
All of this is likely building to Abe deciding they can give it another go. He’s clearly attracted to Paulina and won’t want to throw away their spark when Paulina’s truly sorry.
Of course, the timing is interesting since Marla Gibbs is set to make her Days debut as Paulina’s mom, Olivia Price, on August 17.
Every family has some buried secrets, especially in Salem! Will Olivia reveal something that blows up Paulina’s world once again?
There’s always been speculation that perhaps Paulina is Lani’s biological mother.
The theory is that Paulina might’ve handed her baby over to Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo), who may have raised Lani as her own and ultimately lied to Abe.
There’s no confirmation on that, but it’s an interesting theory to ponder – and it could certainly destroy Paulina’s romance with Abe all over again.
It could also turn Paulina’s relationship with Lani upside down, so it’s something to mull over as we prepare for Olivia’s arrival.
Regardless, Olivia’s bound to bring some trouble and could even offer some other revelation tied to the past.
