Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 12, reveals that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) suspected she was already pregnant after her first try with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) also essentially stole the role of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) from Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), so here’s how things went down on Tuesday’s DOOL episode.
In Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office, the devil spoke through the tape recorder about Ben’s baby and how the child would inherit the genetics of a serial killer. He thought the baby would be the perfect instrument for evil and insisted he chose Ben very carefully.
Marlena argued there was no guarantee evil would ever surface in Ben’s child. She pointed out the baby would also belong to Ciara, who came from two loving families.
The devil actually liked that idea since it offered the ideal bloodlines – giving him or her the enormous potential for evil but also a pure and innocent soul that’s easily corrupted.
Meanwhile, John ranted to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) about the script changes.
John noted that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) didn’t get the rights to Marlena’s story – and Roman argued that the law would be on Marlena’s side if she wanted to shut the film down.
After John headed to Marlena’s office, he was surprised to find her alone since he could’ve sworn he heard another voice. Marlena lied that she was playing back her session with Ben and admitted she might’ve led Ben down the wrong path.
Marlena wanted to speak with Ben again, but John insisted on taking her home to rest since she looked so pale.
John reassured Marlena once she was in her pajamas and settled in bed at home.
After John turned on a white sound machine and went to get Marlena some hot chamomile tea, the devil lit up the machine and told Marlena to forget about Ben. He wanted Marlena to just give in to him and ultimately made her levitate off the bed.
As for Johnny on Tuesday’s Days episode, he tried to convince Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) to take the part of Celeste Perrault (Tanya Boyd) in the film. Celeste was the psychic who first sensed the devil had come to Salem, but no one believed her.
Chanel wasn’t thrilled over the role since it’d mean playing Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) granny – her old boyfriend’s “Big Mama.”
Johnny offered the part of Dr. Lexie Carver (Renee Jones) instead, but Chanel wasn’t overjoyed about playing Theo’s mom either. She wanted to think about it and ultimately agreed to have dinner with Johnny at the pub.
Once Johnny and Chanel got there, Allie informed them that John flipped out over the script changes. Roman also came out of the kitchen and announced that he was pulling his funding, so Johnny lost his appetite and headed home in a huff.
At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) assured Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) that the kiss in the script would just be between John and Marlena – unless Abigail found him irresistible.
Abigail smiled over Chad’s joke and started to kiss him, but EJ’s arrival interrupted the close moment.
EJ got updates on Chad running lines with Abigail and scoffed since it wasn’t enough to just fund Johnny’s movie.
Chad insisted it was called being a supportive husband and added that maybe he’d audition for the role of John since that part hadn’t been cast yet.
EJ threatened to call Mr. Shin (Michael Hagiwara) and reveal that Chad wasn’t pulling his weight at the company. Chad argued that he didn’t even have a real part and EJ was just drooling at the thought of dumping him.
“You never should’ve undermined me with my son,” EJ warned. Once Chad was alone with Abigail, he said he wasn’t worried since profits were good at DiMera Enterprises.
Abigail decided she was done with running lines for the evening, so Chad offered to check on the kids together and escort her to her room.
Once they were upstairs, Chad suggested he kind of liked the thought of playing John in the film. It sounded like a fun adventure to go on with Abigail – plus, Chad wouldn’t have to worry about Abigail doing love scenes with some random man.
Downstairs again, EJ found a frustrated Johnny and learned Roman had pulled his funding.
After EJ offered to replace that investment, he admitted there was a catch. EJ announced that he wanted to play John Black in the movie and caught Johnny off guard.
At Ben and Ciara’s place, he told her that Marlena seemed different in his session. Marlena made it seem like Ben would be making a huge mistake if he didn’t have children – like she had a personal stake in whether they had a baby.
Even so, Marlena made Ben feel a whole lot better about the situation. Ben assured Ciara that he truly wanted to have a child with her, so Ciara threw out the remainder of her birth control.
Ciara also searched online and found out it was possible to get pregnant right away if she quit in the middle of her pack.
Ciara pointed out it was rare, but it could happen. Ben suggested there was no time like the present to get started, so they indeed made love with the goal of making a baby.
Once they were done, Ciara thought that felt different and extra special somehow. Ben admitted it wasn’t just Ciara who thought so.
Ciara wondered if they just made a baby – and suddenly a storm blew in the apartment. It led to papers whizzing around ominously as Ben and Ciara looked on in shock.
After Roman stopped by the townhouse, he relayed the news to John about pulling the funding from Johnny’s film.
John and Roman agreed the last thing they wanted was for Marlena to have to relive that time.
While the storm was blowing all around Ben and Ciara, Marlena floated above her bed back in her own bedroom. As other Days details come in, we’ll keep you posted.
