Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, April 9, tease that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will put her plan in motion. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was willing to go to prison if it meant keeping Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) away from his family.
There’s nothing more important to John than protecting the people he loves.
Of course, Belle doesn’t think John should land behind bars because crazy Jan provoked him into attacking her. John’s brain aneurysm made his emotions extreme anyway, so it’s easy to see why he almost strangled Jan to death over her claims that Belle was dead.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jan will want John locked up, but she’ll want her own freedom more. That’s exactly what Belle will be counting on after she draws up the legal papers and explains them to Jan.
By signing these papers, Jan will waive her right to press charges for John’s attempted murder. However, Jan will also get it in writing that Belle won’t press charges over the kidnapping and gun drama that went down before the wedding.
Belle will think it’s a reasonable quid pro quo – and although Jan won’t agree it’s entirely fair to her, she’ll put her signature down and accept this is what it takes to be free.
Meanwhile, Days spoilers say John will decide to approach Jan and deliver a warning. It looks like Jan will try to slap John, but he’ll snatch her arm in response. John may point out that he won’t hesitate to put Jan in another coma or worse if he has to!
Across town, DOOL spoilers state that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will chat with Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), but she may have ulterior motives.
Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) thinks Allie should gather all the facts and try to find out if Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is guilty. The problem is Allie already accused Tripp of a crime he wasn’t responsible for once.
Allie won’t want Tripp to feel attacked again, so she’ll have to play this just right. Maybe Allie will fish for details from Kayla and see just how much she knows.
Over with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), he’ll catch up with Tripp and potentially ask some questions of his own. Tripp could stand to get his murder night secret off his chest since he didn’t end up telling Allie.
Will Tripp come clean to Steve about what happened at Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) apartment? It doesn’t look like Tripp pulled the trigger, but he did show up at Charlie’s door.
Since Tripp apparently isn’t the murderer, Steve might think his son should tell the cops the real story before they get the wrong idea.
Meanwhile, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will have to decide if she’s going to continue her confession or cut it off where she last left it. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) believes there’s something Ava isn’t telling him – and DOOL fans know that’s true.
Ava neglected to mention that she saw Tripp just before she found dead Charlie.
It’s hard to imagine Ava just volunteering this information, but Rafe may coax it out of her or just figure out that Ava must be protecting Tripp. One way or another, there’ll be a dramatic scene back at Steve and Kayla’s place later.
Rafe will stand there as Tripp gently grips Ava’s shoulders and has a heartfelt moment with his mom. It looks like Rafe will interrogate Tripp and potentially haul him down the station, but the investigation will shift in some surprising new directions over the next couple weeks.
Until then, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will get steamy! Lucas will snack on some chips with Sami as they enjoy reconnecting.
The mood will be light and fun at first, but it’ll eventually turn somber as Sami admits there’s serious trouble in her marriage.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has no interest in rekindling things with Sami in the bedroom or any other way for that matter. There’s a real disconnect between them ever since EJ recovered, so Sami will spill all that and get Lucas’ comfort.
It won’t be long until Lucas kisses Sami and wonders what they’re doing. Sami won’t have a clue, but she’ll enjoy every minute of it as they surrender to temptation and sleep together.
Regrets will follow, but both Lucas and Sami will have a blast while it’s happening. Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ will return to Salem this summer, so he’ll no doubt have revenge on his mind once he finds out cheating has gone down.
