Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, April 20, teases that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will get a blood test at the hospital, which will offer pregnancy confirmation. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will also set up an ultrasound, so this baby will suddenly seem quite real to Gwen.
The more Gwen thinks about it, the more she’ll want to keep her impending bundle of joy. Gwen will feel like she may never find true acceptance with the Deveraux family. She’ll consider this child a chance to start fresh with a new fam and be a better mom than the one she had.
While Gwen comes to that conclusion, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will have a shouting match with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will defend Gwen’s right to make her own decisions about her pregnancy.
It’s not Abigail’s place to order Gwen to terminate, but Abigail will feel like it’s the only path forward – at least when it comes to her marriage to Chad.
Abigail won’t think her relationship with Chad can get past this baby blow. Chad will get this is painful and will be willing to make it up to Abigail any way he can.
Nevertheless, Chad won’t think he can tell Gwen what to do any more than Abigail can. This has to be Gwen’s choice alone – and she’ll soon deliver updates on deciding to move forward with the pregnancy.
Abigail will get the news and have an emotional breakdown by midweek, so the end of Tuesday’s episode should set that in motion.
In the meantime, Days spoilers say Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will open up to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) about all the problems between Abigail and Gwen. Jack will hope for a truce, so he may wonder if Steve thinks it’s possible.
Steve may bring up the fact that Jack was his enemy once upon a time, but now they’re brothers and close friends. If there was hope for Jack and Steve, perhaps there’s hope for any strained sibling relationship on Days.
While Steve gives Jack a pep talk, Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will discuss all the drama that’s been happening with Chanel Dupree Kiriakis (Precious Way).
Eli has probably filled Lani in on Chanel’s new marriage to Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) by now, so Lani should agree this is a mess!
As for Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), she’ll battle growing fears after she hears about Xander’s violent past and history of scheming. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will bring Paulina up to speed and leave her knocking on Lani’s door for help.
Paulina will be desperate to end this marriage, so she may count on Lani to have a chat with Chanel and make her see the light.
However, Chanel will already be seeing the light in a different way. She’ll freak when she realizes Xander is pretty much broke! Xander apparently isn’t much of a saver and doesn’t have any money coming in now that he’s no longer the co-CEO of Titan.
Perhaps Xander will argue that he blew most of what he had left on Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) engagement ring, which DOOL fans know has become Chanel’s ring. Xander will argue that the money in his wallet was misleading and push Chanel to accept that she married a poor man.
Chanel will immediately start thinking about a divorce, but Xander won’t want to take that step just yet. He’ll have some conditions if Chanel expects him to let her out of this marriage. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander will want to run a stunning scam – and he’ll want Chanel’s assistance to make it happen.
