Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 17, teases that Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) necklace will add to the mystery of her disappearance. Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) will also lay down the law during an argument with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) – and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will rescue Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) in her time of sorrow.
Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will be the one who stumbles across Sami’s necklace, so she’ll ponder this hint while Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) seeks answers from Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo).
Lucas may feel like Sami’s making herself scarce due to the cheating scandal and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurriegel) decision to throw her out of the house.
However, Days fans know Sami was determined to stay at the mansion and was on her way to get permission from Gabi when the snatching happened.
Allie won’t be able to figure all that out just yet, but she’ll kick off her Sami hunt on Tuesday’s DOOL episode and hope to get to the bottom of things.
In the meantime, Days spoilers say Olivia will bark out orders and expect Paulina to obey them.
Paulina is Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) biological mother, but Olivia will want her to stay quiet and let Lani keep believing Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) is her real mom.
It would devastate Lani if she knew the truth, especially since it presumably means Abe Carver (James Reynolds) isn’t really her bio dad.
This secret could do some serious damage, so Olivia will push Paulina to honor the promise she made all those years ago. She’ll once again pressure Paulina to leave town and reduce the risk of exposure, but Paulina will want to hang around.
In fact, Paulina will be tempted to confess to Lani and try to help her understand why she always bailed in the past. While Olivia tries to shut down that plan, Rafe will come to sad Nicole’s rescue.
Nicole will be in bed feeling sorry for herself, but Rafe will do his best to lift her spirits. He’ll even get Duke the teddy bear in on the action, so Rafe’s plan should pay off in the end.
Nicole has a long way to go before she can get over Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and the end of their marriage, but she’ll take a step in the right direction thanks to Rafe.
Speaking of ending marriages, EJ will let Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) know he’s divorcing Sami for her betrayal. Chad will understand EJ’s frustration, but he may remind his brother that everyone makes mistakes.
EJ has made his fair share of blunders in his marriage, so Chad might point that out and suggest taking a step back to reevaluate. Can EJ really get over the kind of love he has for Sami?
Chad may not be so sure EJ can truly be happy without Sami in his life – much like Chad can’t be happy without Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Of course, Chad’s got problems in his relationship as well, but he’s hoping to fix them if possible. Since Chad’s a firm believer in multiple chances, he may urge EJ to give Sami one more.
Back with Gabi, she’ll have a fierce faceoff with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Gabi might push all the right insecurity buttons and get Ava feeling even more fearful about losing Rafe.
There’s never a dull moment when Ava and Gabi are in the same room, so stick with DOOL for more tension.
