Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, June 16 Recap – Jan Moves a Finger – Bonnie Impersonates Adrienne - Paulina Gets a Shock

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 16, reveals that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) moved a finger after Belle Brady (Martha Madison) accused her of faking her coma. Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) also impersonated Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) with good intentions, but it didn’t go over well with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)!

At Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) place on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chanel Dupree (Precious Way) was glad when Paulina gave their sweet potato pie a rave review.

Chanel was excited to serve it at the new bakery and expressed how proud she was of her mother. She said Paulina could’ve taken this Horton Town Square opportunity to maximize her profits, but her mom was choosing to help people instead.

Paulina admitted she felt guilty about something and started to tell Chanel about her true plans, but she ultimately backed out and claimed she felt guilty about eating dessert first.

After Paulina offered to treat Chanel to dinner, they headed for the pub. That’s where they found Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) sitting at a table together.

Paulina recognized Tripp as the guy Chanel tried to stick her huge bar tab with, but Chanel insisted they were cool now. Allie was who Chanel really wanted Paulina to admit.

When Paulina learned Chanel was going into business with Allie, she wondered what exactly qualified her.

Paulina made it clear she would’ve preferred for Chanel to work with a person of color, but Chanel insisted she could hire whoever she wanted.

Allie made a speech about being a single mom who needed the job and wanted to set a good example for her son – though she understood Paulina’s concerns and was willing to step aside if Chanel wanted.

Allie also praised Paulina for her vision for the Horton Town Square and felt her grandparents were smiling down. She complimented Paulina’s look and suggested she saw where Chanel got her sense of style.

Paulina relented and decided she liked Allie, so there were smiles all around.

Meanwhile, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) gushed over Paulina during a conversation with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), who could tell Abe was smitten. Roman listened to Abe’s reservations about dating Paulina, but he shut them all down and pushed Abe to go for it.

Back with Paulina, she found Tripp was a med student and felt he was the kind of guy Chanel should be dating.

That brought some uncomfortable moments for Tripp, Chanel and Allie. After Abe came in and introduced Paulina to Roman, Paulina invited Abe to join her dinner plans with Chanel.

Once Abe and Paulina stepped aside, Tripp was summoned to the hospital. That gave Chanel and Allie a chance to discuss Allie’s budding romance with Tripp, which was going well.

Chanel insisted she was truly happy for Allie before they joked about Paulina pushing her to date a guy like Tripp.

After Chanel mentioned Paulina’s tendency to voice her strong opinions, she couldn’t help but wonder how her mom would react if she found out about her kiss with Allie.

Paulina reappeared with Abe – clearly having overheard the lip lock bombshell.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) took a call from Steve. He quickly realized Steve was trying to wiggle out their planned double date night since he didn’t want to spend time with Bonnie.

Bonnie overheard the hurtful call and decided to stay behind to “primp” while Justin went ahead to Julie’s Place.

Once Bonnie finally joined Justin, Steve and Kayla, she had ditched her flashy outfit and bold makeup. Bonnie was subdued and seemed a lot like Adrienne, so Steve didn’t let this go on too long.

Steve called Bonnie out for the “pathetic” Adrienne act and pushed her to knock it off.

Bonnie decided to be herself and admitted she felt like a fool for looking forward to this night and thinking she could earn some respect. After Bonnie acknowledged that she wasn’t worthy of Justin, he disagreed.

Justin felt “damn lucky” to have Bonnie in his life and ripped into Steve for humiliating Bonnie.

Steve argued that it brought him pain to watch Bonnie try to be like his deceased sister and hoped Bonnie could understand it was painful for him. However, Justin fired back that Bonnie wouldn’t have to resort to that if Steve would try to like her for who she is.

Bonnie agreed and pointed out that Steve didn’t even want to come tonight. She noted that Steve put this double date off for at least three months since the time she asked for it. Now Bonnie wished they’d just put it off forever!

At the hospital on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Belle sat by Jan’s bedside and ranted about Jan’s twisted obsession with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). She fumed over Jan murdering Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) in cold blood just to frame her.

Belle also seethed over Jan arranging for Shawn to burn Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) to death.

As Belle became increasingly angry and emotional, she insisted there was “no way in hell” that Jan was getting a pass. Belle refused to let Jan sleep her away out of punishment and insisted the torturing of her family ends now.

After Belle pulled the plug on Jan’s ventilator, her monitors started going haywire. Shawn rushed in and plugged the ventilator back in before grilling Belle about her actions.

The nurse checked Jan out and noted that she seemed to be OK. Once the nurse left, Belle confirmed to Shawn that she did pull the plug – though she claimed she was just trying to prove Jan was faking her coma.

After Shawn persuaded Belle that Jan was indeed comatose, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) insisted they would help take Jan down if she woke up.

Shawn pushed Belle to view this as the official end of their connection with Jan. He wanted to take Belle home to celebrate, so she decided Shawn was right – that nothing and no one would tear them apart.

Shawn and Belle decided that once they walked out that door, Jan no longer existed. Once Jan was alone in her hospital room, she moved her pinky finger. As other Days news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
