Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What's Charlie's Future On DOOL - Remorse & Redemption or Death for Allie's Attacker?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) is going to have some tough times ahead, and they’ll all be of his own making. Charlie seems to be clearly on the hook for Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) kidnapping and drugging, and he might very well be looking at serious jail time for that.

And then there’s the issue of Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) assault in London. Soon, the DNA test that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) is running will be back, and that will surely confirm what everyone is now suspecting – that Charlie is the one who assaulted Allie and fathered Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox).

Of course, even when that DNA test comes back showing that Charlie is Henry’s father, the chances of Charlie actually facing criminal charges for Allie’s assault may still be slim.

There will still be the issue of jurisdiction, and the Salem DA may not pursue charges against Charlie since the crime took place in another country.

And even if the Salem DA decides to pursue assault charges against Charlie, Charlie might try to argue that he thought the encounter was consensual, turning the matter into a he said/she said saga.

Of course, Charlie could still go to jail due to the kidnapping charges, but Allie probably wouldn’t see that as justice for her attack.

One wonders what Charlie’s future on Days of Our Lives holds. Will Charlie end up getting off on a technicality for Ava’s kidnapping or will his mom refuse to testify against him? And could he possible skate on the rape charge, too?

Right now, that all seems up in the air, but one thing is clear – Charlie doesn’t appear to be remorseful for what he’s done.

Sure, Charlie expressed a smidge of remorse when he initially told Ava about the assault, but other than that, he hasn’t seemed to really care that he seriously hurt someone or that his actions brought another life into the world.

And it would seem that if Charlie is going to stick around on the show, he’ll probably need to start showing some remorse and thinking through the consequences of his actions.

Of course, if TPTB have any inkling of wanting to reform Charlie, then that’s going to be a long and very difficult road. It’s certainly been done before – Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is a good example of a character who committed rape and then became an integral character who saw the error of his ways.

Will Charlie ultimately see the error of his ways and try to turn his life around?

We’ll see what the plan for Charlie ends up being, but it would seem that he’s got a very long way to go if the point is to reform him and make him truly repentant. Charlie’s done a lot of damage – maybe he’ll just stay a villain!

Do you think that Charlie has a long future on Days of Our Lives or could he meet at sudden and deadly end? There is also strong buzz that Charlie could wind up the victim in a murder mystery.

It’s important to keep in mind that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney)  is coming back soon and she will no doubt have something to say and possibly do about Charlie!
