Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that with all the hints the show’s offering, we have to ask the question of whether Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will cheat with Chanel Dupree (Precious Way). Will Eli commit a horrible betrayal with Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) own cousin?
Chanel has commented on how attractive Eli was from day one, but Lani recently had a talk with her about all the objectifying comments. Lani explained why she didn’t like it, so Chanel understood and vowed to stop.
However, Lani’s conversation with Eli later was a bit more revealing.
This goes beyond Lani’s annoyance with Chanel. Lani admitted to being jealous and possessive of Eli, but he was quick to point out that he only had eyes for his wife.
Eli made it crystal clear that Lani was the only woman for him, which could be DOOL’s way of setting up some trouble!
Chanel has made statements about hoping Lani knows how lucky she is to have a great husband like Eli. We’ve also seen Chanel open up to Eli and surprise herself by just how easy it was.
The show’s established somewhat of a connection between them that might be pursued further.
Of course, Days also keeps putting Chanel in awkward situations with Eli – like when she accidentally saw him naked in the kitchen.
It turns out yet another uncomfortable encounter is coming up during the week of June 7-11. There may be one more situation where Chanel sees more of Eli than she should.
There’s an awful lot of buildup going on, but what exactly is it building to? This storyline is surely going somewhere. It’d be weird for Days to keep having all these Chanel and Eli moments along with jealous Lani without anything happening.
It could be a case of almost cheating or perhaps a misunderstanding where it merely looks like cheating. However, we also have to consider the possibility that there’ll be some scenario down the line that lands Chanel in bed with Eli.
If Chanel gets rejected by Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) all over again and loses her new bakery due to Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) shady plans, she’ll definitely struggle.
If Eli has a major fight with Lani, it’s easy to see how Days could bring Chanel and Eli together – if only for one steamy night!
