In tonight’s Doubling Down With the Derricos episode, Deon and Karen chose to have a large family. Karen stays at home. Deon works as a real estate investor. The kid’s names all start with D. They never knew they would have twins, quintuplets, and more. The kids love being part of a large family because they are never lonely and have one another backs.
They all head to see the doctor as Karen is pregnant with triplets. Years ago they lost a son. They ended up with twins. They are of course nervous and still remember their son who perished. With 11 kids now and pregnant, they want to know what to expect. Later, Karen is told to go on bed rest.
Karen and Deon recall wanting as many babies as they could have. He cooks while the family dances. Eric, Deon’s friend, comes over with the cake. He loves spending time with them. He grew up in the system. Seeing this family is healing for him.
Deon cuts the boys’ hair. They talk about money management. They all laugh as they recite savings and money management. Karen works on the girls’ hair. Later, Karen has Braxton Hicks. She is put on bed rest asap for 2 months in the hospital. The family spends some time talking and organizing.
The next day, Deon gets them all ready for school. They have a swim after. Deon knows this is going to be hard. Gigi comes to visit. They are all thrilled.
At the hospital, Karen is having contractions back to back. The doctor has been called. Hours later, the city experiences an earthquake. Karen panics.
