General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) may be a dead woman walking based on the ominous clues Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) offered, which could set up this meddling grandma’s grim fate and Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) heartache.
As Sasha and Gladys talked at GH recently, Gladys suggested she still had Sasha’s taped interview segment on her DVR. She looked forward to watching it with the baby when he or she was old enough, but what Sasha said next was rather dark.
“If you’re still with us…” Sasha stated before hastily clarifying that she meant there in Port Charles. She laughed over the way her comment sounded, but perhaps it really was a hint about Gladys ending up dead sooner or later.
As if that wasn’t enough of a clue, another one followed a bit later. After Brando stepped away and returned, he was glad to see no one was bleeding, broken or DEAD. “Not yet,” Sasha replied with a smile.
It’s obvious that Sasha and Gladys have been trying to get under each other’s skin, but Gladys has always seemed like a character who could be killed off eventually.
It was surprising that Gladys survived the mob shootout and her involvement with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), but she had to stick around for this baby story. This is giving Sasha a new enemy to battle and setting up some conflict with Brando.
However, Gladys could easily wind up dead at the end of this story. It might even be a situation where Sasha accidentally kills Gladys or at least gets accused of it.
Of course, we can’t rule out more mob mayhem either since Gladys and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) have another battle brewing.
Gladys and Carly will face off during the week of July 12-16, so the show will keep Gladys tied to the Corinthos mob drama and that could land Brando’s mom in danger.
After all, we know the Novak family is rising as a sinister enemy – and Vincent Novak in particular will pose a serious threat.
Bottom line, there have been some deadly dialogue hints when it comes to Gladys, who never stays out of trouble for long.
