General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) could blackmail Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and use the secret about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby to gain ELQ shares and Quartermaine recognition. Austin could prove quite ruthless as he works to pull off his Port Charles plans, so let’s talk about what might be in the works.
GH fans know Austin is dangerously close to Maxie and Brook Lynn’s big secret. Austin could easily put the clues together and figure out that “Bailey Quartermaine” is actually Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).
What happens if Austin indeed discovers the truth about Maxie’s baby and Brook Lynn’s fake mom status?
Austin is in town with an agenda and could use Brook Lynn’s secret to his advantage. He could blackmail his new cousin into helping him gain a proper spot within the family along with some power.
Austin is hoping to contest Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) will and get what he feels he’s owed.
Austin wants a seat at the Quartermaine table in more ways than one and will stir up more trouble for this wary family.
Of course, Brook Lynn will be the wariest of them all since she’s got the most to lose. The last thing Brook Lynn wants is for Austin to learn the truth and blow the “Bailey” cover story.
That could put Maxie’s daughter at risk, so Austin may play dirty if he uncovers what Brook Lynn is hiding.
Brook Lynn might try to call Austin’s bluff and act like he wouldn’t put a child in jeopardy, but Austin could argue that he has a responsibility to come clean – that is unless Brook Lynn can make keeping the secret worth his while.
Although Brook Lynn can’t do anything about what the judge decides, she could still put in a good word for Austin with the family and encourage acceptance.
Austin really has no grounds to contest this will, especially not this late in the game. He might need Brook Lynn on his side since she could push for Austin to get shares anyway.
Brook Lynn could at least hand over her own shares if it comes to that.
Brook Lynn do pretty much anything to keep “Bailey’s” true identity quiet, so Austin’s potential blackmail plot could put Brook Lynn at a serious disadvantage.
