General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will inevitably become more involved in Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter drama. It works out well that GH writers have steadily established more of a friendship between Nina and Ava.
Now’s the time to kick that bond up a notch and unite them as allies against Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Ava didn’t buy Carly’s story about needing the necklace back to make Donna Corinthos (Ella and Emma Hulen) a match for Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) pendant.
There was also that moment where GH focused on Ava holding that necklace while she held her drink. General Hospital has made it seem important that Ava’s in the loop here.
Once Nina tells Ava about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) being her biological daughter, Ava will surely have plenty to say. Ava can tell Nina about the lengths Carly went to at Wyndemere to get that necklace back and stop this exposure.
Perhaps Ava will feel like there was something strange and desperate about Carly’s determination. It may dawn on them that there are far higher stakes for Carly than protecting Nina’s feelings.
Ava may be the one to click the rest of the story into place and suggest Carly might’ve had a hand in Nelle’s death.
Ava considered Nelle a friend once upon a time and even gave her a job at the gallery. Although Ava wasn’t happy about Nelle blackmailing Julian Jerome (William DeVry) into marriage, she may soften toward Nelle after Nina’s news.
Ava might admit she saw a lot of scheming self in Nelle and understood her desire to break free from Corinthos control.
Nina will obviously still be devastated over Nelle’s death and how she betrayed her beforehand. Ava will be able to relate since she wasn’t on good terms with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) when she died either.
Of course, there’s another crucial link to talk about since Kiki and Nelle were siblings through their father, Silas Clay (Michael Easton).
That’s something that could further unite Ava and Nina to seek justice for Nelle – for Kiki’s half-sister! Ava rarely passes up a chance to stir the pot and may press her luck with Carly.
She’d be better off just enjoying the advantage she has right now, but that’s not how Ava rolls. Ava may support Nina’s efforts to take Carly down for killing Nelle.
Carly loves to remind Ava that she caused Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death through the pill switch, so she’s bound to think hypocritical Carly’s far worse. Due to the cover-up, it’s going to look like Carly pushed Nelle off that cliff.
Carly tried to save Nelle, but who’s going to believe her? Certainly not Ava and Nina!
Nina and Ava may form an alliance against Carly down the road, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. As other GH details emerge, we’ll pass along updates.
